Anybody have any idea how to sleep?? Extenuating circumstances have caused me to lose sleep. 3 hours each night is a miracle. Having to drive all day doesn`t help either. Can`t use alcohol or any kind of pills due to an earlier substance abuse problem. Any ideas would be helpful.

Update--- I have the guitar back. Had it back for about a month. Still haven't played it yet.

We just told the kids. Here goes. My wife has osteoporosis-arthritis. Will likely be in a wheelchair for the rest of her life. Liver and lung cancer all from breast cancer back in 2006.  Sorry to be depressing and thanx for everyone for letting me vent

One of those was a 60 Buick convertible. Do you know what would look really good on that car?  My plates

Don`t want to get into details because I still have to tell my daughter, stepson, Mom, sisters and relatives. My best and closest friends know and can keep a secret. I got the absolute worst news I could imagine at the hospital today. I figured it would be bad but not as bad as it is. When my whole family finds out, I will say what it is. I don`t want anyone finding out accidentally. Sorry if it seems like I am keeping everyone in suspense.

Thank you to everyone for the support and good wishes. My wife has been hospitalized for the past 3 days. I spend as much time as I can there. Still trying to juggle everything and have been keeping it together so far. Thanks again.

Was planning to get some playing in but it didn`t happen again. Too busy working and caring for my wife. Also trying to do the things she usually does. Grocery shopping, taking the dog to get groomed and just staying with her in case she needs anything.

I haven't played since April. Time flies. Recent "Obligations" have taken up every minute I have. Hopefully I can get started sometime. I have all these toys downstairs sitting doing nothing. Didn`t realize until I counted the months just now. I am not looking to get in a band. I just want to get to playing again. Actually, starting any kind of band just isn`t important to me right now. Just venting. Thanx.

What are you talking about????

I almost forgot about the Gretsch Americana Series. They are parlor guitars. They look like toys but sound good and play like a dream. They are more of a collectible so the prices are going to be a bit high. And they are great looking. I have one and I love it.

I forgot the model but Yamaha makes a real nice  3/4 size acoustic. They call it a 3/4 but I think it is more 1/2 size. It is a bit pricey compared to other smaller guitars

I hope the best for your brother and it all goes well

I actually use my Stratocaster with an old Gibson Falcon tube amp. How is that for turning the tables. My daughter plays her "Fat Strat" through a Fender amp. or my little Pignose

I have been trying to make room in my music room lately. I have sold 2 guitars and an amp. Getting rid of a keyboard and a drum kit today. They built up so fast. I am not just selling them to random people. I want these to be used and appreciated. I answered an ad on craigslist from someone that wanted to find inexpensive equipment for his daughters that are learning to play. I don`t mind taking a loss or just breaking even for that reason. They had first act amps and guitars. They love the equipment they have now. A Crate GX 212 and a Squier mini strat (my daughters first guitar). My daughter has a friend that plays keyboard. She can have that. And another that plays drums. Whenever she is here she plays on them. She can have the drums. As long as I know they are being used and appreciated, I can handle the loss. Even if they get their use out of them and trade up, I am fine with that.

That was always on my to do list, it never happened.

Ten years ago on this date. Warren Zevon died of lung cancer. He was my biggest musical influence and idol.  ENJOY EVERY SANDWICH

I just left it at Union Music for a setup. Once its setup, I wont take it apart again. It was an impulse buy. If I didn`t see it on craigslist, I would never have started such a project. I also used up my tattoo money for this. So I haven't decided what I will do with it  once it is done.

It is a cool guitar. I`ll bet the anticipation of getting it is getting worse by the hour
