I just turned sixty,been playing on and of since I was fourteen,I was in two bands in high school. Ican not play lead much  now as I destroyed a lot  of  things in my hands due too a motorcycle wreck. I like almost anything but prefer  fifties thru seventies music,and love the blues.  dino

Hi kap,I get it but only once in a while,guess I have been lucky as Ihave listened too alot of loud music, and shot alot of  military arms. I still have very good hearing. My doctor had advised me too use ear wax removal kits you can buy at a local drug store. He also told me too never use Q tip cleaners on the inner part of the ear.     dino

You got some great advice from the guys replys above me,you might also go too veterans hospitals, and you also might try too play a little at senior homes,they love anybody.

I think alot of the beginings came with the country and western singers like hank williams,He did move it on over,which turned into a great hit for many rockers. Carl perkins was also very much of an influance also. I know many of them were influanced by black gospel music.

Any of the administrators  think we could start a daily trivia game? I would really enjoy something like that,maybe you could talk some of the advertisers into giving some kind of small prize,ie free strings ,or a few free lessons.Or just for fun. Well just a thought.     dino

I am paying about $435 a gallon here in california. I think this will end soon though,Some of us may be old enough too rember the so called gas shortage around 1970,when we had too wait in line and odd and even numbers on your license plates dictated the days you could fill up your tank.Highway speeds were reduced too 55 miles per hour. I was Drivung a gas tanker for chevron then,I had a few times when people tried too pay me alot off money for gas,I told them that would be impossable,as it comes out at 600 gallons per min. Hi five0 ,I wish I knew the perfect answer too your problem but I dont,I would check a local guitar store,furniture refinishers,wood shop teachers at high schools.I have painted several show cars.All came out good.But I have never painted a guitar.Did you wash it before you painted?If not you may have sanded some wax into the wood.Did you prime paint serface before applying finish color paint?
