siege of troy i had a friend who had perfect pitch he was a great sax player and i remember once or twice i doubted his "perfect pitch" so i tested him. he would turn his back and tell me to play any note i wanted on the neck, and it didn't matter which note i chose to play he would tell me not only what the note was but if my guitar was tuned correctly and he was always right i gave up doubting him acapo

zini i think sometimes the melodey and the tempo of the chords played dictate or tell you what words will fit for the progression sometimes you write down words with not a clue to what melodie will fit with them, just keep writting words and charting chord changes sooner or later you will match words to a set of chords.i was going to write some words to an irish sounding song but after i finished recording all the tracks and listened to it i realised it didn't need words it was great the way it was that was last night, keepcomming up with ideas remember somthing andy rooney said on 60 minutes a clutered desk reveals a clutered mind but what dose an emtey desk show! acapo

Before signing up, saw info to the effect that I could create own songbook of chords (chords only, no songs.)  Can't figure this out.  Any body out there know how to do this? Thanks.

So, anyone been forced to go or just went to a concert thinking it would be naff then walked out thinking, that was great!!

I dont think I have as I choose all my concerts carefully,
But I am going to see Aly Bain and Phil Cuningham tomorrow night along with the Scottish National Orchestra.
Not the osrt of thing I really attend but Aly Bain is absolutely superb on the fiddle and phile is a good accomplice ( is that the right word?) on the accordian.
So although I am in two minds to what it will be like, I know it is going to be good, which made me think of this thread
