gitaardocphil  i am a christian under construction. i have long had these feelings about the comercialization of the birth of jesus christ, what you say about wars started because one god was better or the only one this is the reason and the justification for the actions that people give when they commit atrocities against the human race in the name of their god.i dont recall any scripture that tells us to slit your neighbors throat or blow yourself up in a crowded resturant taking innocent people with you and you will be rewarded by your god.its 8:am i need to get some breakfast this is strong dialog for this early in the day.russell

"la bamba" ritchie valens song was originally recorded in the key of c it has only three changes and they are  c f g what makes it stand out is the notes on the intro gabc on  the last note c down strum c  for two beats then f for two beats and g for four beats do this twice and rest for a eighth rest this is where the lyrics start the chord pattern is always c//f//|g////|c//f//|g////|ect.... try it acapo

i dont think it has anything to do with infringment, the record companies and related interest have only one goal,to make more money and the law firms that represent them are only to happy to oblidge their wishes because they will make money.this has nothing to do with freedom which is ironic because the usa was founded on these principals.greed rears its ugly head and is hungry it must be fed and freedom is the meal. acapo

My apologies, I know this probably doesn't belong in the Acoustic forum, but that is where I am at with my guitar playing.

I was fortunate enough to be in the presence of greatness last night in a small club located in Pawling, NY.  Last night I saw Sonny Landreth and his krewe.  Being a guitar newbie, I was in awe of the talent, and wondered if he had evefr "sucked" like I currently do, at any point in his career.  For those that haven't seen or heard of Sonny, I suggest you do - go to YouTube.  He brought up a special guest for a few songs, Arlen "master of the telecaster" Roth - who I not heard of, but plan to. The best part was that the guy was out front after the show to meet, sign and thank those who attended.  Alert omni magazine, for last night the center of the slide guitar universe was in a small town in upstate NY!  What a show!
