Hello crevs.1972 , I used too only use light strings but after a year or so I could tell I was not getting enough sound, I asked  a few people at the local music store and the told me too try some mediums and heavy,I tried both and I came out satisfied with the mediums. I guess it is up too the individual. I also never had too get my guitar re done for them but you might want too ask the dealer.martins are nice strings but I am on a budget so I use d"addarios, they are really good for the price. If you are just doing light strumming I think you should check out some medium guage strings.        dino

Thanks kajima, I am happy too know I amnot going totally nuts!!           dino

Hi  ckphoto, glad too hear you got it fixed. I have had that problem in the past,I have always cleared it up by using a pencil ereaser,it works well on the amp and also on the cord you plug into the guitar and amp.    dino48

Hi zurf, stop messing with the dog and get a divorce and you will not have too wear awedding ring any more, think that will help? ( I hope you know I am joking ) ,as I do not have a good solution too your problem      dino48

Hi phil,It willbe shown on monday night on the discovery channel here in california. no it was not a dangerous event, they had almost 500,000 people there and no fighting ,just music ,alcahol and dumb drugs. It was the second largest city in the usa for those three days. The biggest problems were food and medical, the government sent the army choppers in with food water and medical supplies, and also medical doctors. It is a must see for any one intersted in music I think. I still have this on vcr and I watch it now and then,I was hooked on Ten years afters performance of going home ( Alvin lee was a great guitar player)  dino48

Hi phil,I think it is mainly a friction thing, and I do not believe our wrists were made too take substained bending without some pain.        dino

Hi everyone,I was watching the news today and too my surprise they were talking about woodstoocks forty year anniversy. They were were actually at yasgars farm and talking too the son of the man that let them have it there. They were also setting up soundstages for the performers that were going too come and the talked with ritchie havens, also they said alot of the bands who were there in 1969 were going too be there too play, the only names I got were ritchie havens and ten years after ( alvin lee ). I do not know if it is going too be on tv or not I will keep a close eye on it for the next couple of days and post it here if I get any info,I am hoping that if anyone else knows anything they will let the rest of us know.       dino

wow that is really something!!,I guess you really can not expect some of the younger generation to reconize an american music icon. Thanks for sharing that with us.     dino
