another nice song from you,i guess chordians love this kinda love song.
But i much prefer when you do that conversational folk style that is unique to you.

I`m with you on this one,the answer is don`t believe anything in the media.
Go do some of your own research, listen to many opinions, make up your own mind.
In NZ there are a lot of sheep, not all of them are on the farm.

uplifting one.

Jan
thought i`d do` Summer time` as hopefully we`ll get some summer weather soon.
It`s been a horrible week weather wise.
First time i`ve done this song, reading lyrics as i go.so far from perfect again.
Plenty of mistakes/bum notes from `The King Of Audio Torture`

Wrote this song about a search for truth, seems you can have one news story
but depending on where you read or watch it,it almost seems to be totally different.
It gets to be, you don`t know who or what to believe or trust.

Seeds To Sow
What are these things that go round and round
Bounce off the wall then fall to the ground
Shimmer in the light and die with the night
Come with the wind and rise with the tide
Grow from the bottom the stop at the top
Cover the sky like a pink cloud of smoke
What are these things,we`ll never know
Along comes spring,seeds to sow
harvest in summer
warm coat in Transylvania

Whatever the case, I'm getting ready to put something on SoundCloud, but before I do - does it have to be original or can I cover something else? I don't know for sure if I have ever seen a post where one of you might have done a cover, so that's my reason for asking. The song I want to cover is also easy to strum, not so easy for me to stay on-key, so I want to be as "safe" as I can be.

Thanks

Bill

Bill we`ll take whatever you got, original or cover.
I can hardly wait to see what you do.Bring it on!

Neo did a great job of EB and Phills song. I have enjoyed  listening to this months FSOTM contributions.

Thanks ... will you be contributing this month? (are you up for a challenge?)

Cheers

Richard

So i`ve got both them in one shot.Haven`t heard the original for a long time.
this is a real singers song,so not one i should do,also i think classics are best left alone.
I`ll only leave it up for a week as it`s a bit of a dogs breakfast. But hey, i`m entering the spirit.

That was good ... is that in the Willie Nelson style? I haven't heard the original for a long time either, and tend to play it a bit more down-strummy rather than picked ... I hope you leave it up for longer!!

Cheers

Richard

Yeah Willie wrote it,i think he did a just kinda vocal/guitar.
i`ve never played this before, it was a quick off the cuff.
Just read the words and played the chords so probably not very accurate.

Go for it,looking forward to hearing you.

Neo
you have really risen to the challenge, good on you.
Like what you have done to this song.
Just goes to show same song two versions, both great!
I often have a go @ unknown songs, you often get a feel for it from the
words & chords anyway. It`s what we do when we write, but we add our own nuances.

There`s been a lot of tears & heartache songs here lately,so thought i`d do something different.
This song is a bunch of random words with a few rhymes & bum notes thrown in for good measure.

A few posts ago, I mentioned getting a mic and beginning to post some stuff on SoundCloud.

BGD was kind enough to gift me with a snowball mic he was no longer using and it got her today.

We worked out a deal whereby even though no money changed hands, Dondra and I would make a contribution to the charity of our choice, so we are sending some money for the folks in North Carolina on behalf of Joe and that got me to thinking: I need to do the same on behalf of Zurf and Amy and Jim for the gift of the Fender Amp and the Fender Orchestral respectively.

So that is what we will do.

I haven't said it recently, but we are grateful for all the love from our Chordie family and send it right back to you.

If we can ever do anything to pay it forward, please let us know, because I would not want to miss the chance.

Thanks and we send our love to ALL of you!

Well done all involved in setting Bill up.looking forward to hearing some music.
