Howdy Phil,

This is all Ken's work , I am going to help  with some fingerpickin guitar, and you guessed it an alternating bass line folky country beat.

Thanks, Wayne P

I think so too ,  to me Firewire is  new technology and USB is older and more limited . Firewire wire also will power your unit rather than having another AC plug to worry about .

Hello ,

I just purchased a new TC Electronics Desktop Konnekt 6  online and should have it in a few days . I have researched myself crazy and decided on this one . I decided to go firewire rather than USB and this one seems to have the best reviews for a 2 input channel recorder .  I just needed 2 channels , one for vocals and one for guitar to get the main track down then I can add as many tracks later as needed. I'm sure it will take a few days to figure it out .

Here's a link to the features

Alot depends also on what Marshall amp it is . I owned a MG250DFX and I just couldn't get the tone I wanted and sold it and purchased a tube amp and got the warm blues tone I was looking for.

Gabby, sorry I can't help you. I use a seinnheiser 845 but none of my equipment is wireless . My acoustic guitars all have pickups and I plug them in also and have no experience going wireless with them.

We had a real nice day for Thanksgiving it was 60 deg and it was hot in the house so we went out and worked out a couple tunes and Tess was a real trooper . We jammed  for a couple hours she is really getting good at picking but wanted some help with strumming .

I just strummed a G D Em C  progression for an hour with her and she was really getting better. Kids are so much fun when they want to learn. She picks everything up so quik . I tried to get her to strum tunes with me in the past but she thought it was boring but she has some friends in college that she has been playing with and she doesn't like her strumming cause it is to choppy and inconsistent .

Thank You we had a Wonderful Day

Ken,

I think you are being a wimp, the Unofficial King of Scotland , has been the king of lashing out and has stepped on a lot of toes . I have restrained myself from name calling and tried to be diplomatic . If your the tough SOB that you try  to make yourself out to be don't run and hide smile

I will take my mother's advice , and not get into a negative argument and spoil my favorite holiday.

I think anytime folks think of others and join hands to reflect and give thanks for whatever cause they believe in should not be frowned on by me or anyone smile

My wife has a friend that lost her 23 yr old daughter coming home for The Holiday , we are giving thanks and are prayers are with her family.

Heya Doug,

I know Southpaw is high on loopers and Jerome is also .  I like the spontaneity of things just jammin . I don't like alot of electronic gadjets but to each his own. It sure is fun when you can jam with a someone you know and really have some fun .
I wish you weren't so darn far away I would like to try "Tres Hombres" smile

I love watching one man shows , I am sure  what you witnessed was a man using a looping pedal with bass and drum effects.
Some folks here are really down on drum machines and drum and bass effects but feel if you are using a looping pedal and build all your own loops out of your own instruments it's ok.
I personally don't like looping and prefer to have a bass player if needed. I always think it's cool when one man can sound great with just a guitar or piano without alot of gadjets.

Thanks for the nice post smile

Old Doll,

I have been looking at this piece and just played it in a minor 4 chord progression and think it could use a chorus I played it in a AM  G F E progression

Am                                    G
Open hands to receive, inside your mind you find reprieve

F                                         E
Castled kings behind bars , outstretched hand pointing stars .

Ok, I played it and I thought of  "One more cup of Coffee" by Bob Dylan

The Chorus in "One More Cup Of Coffee"   is short and Just 2 lines that go from    F  to E   F  Back to E

The point of my babbling being it could be a folk song with no chorus or if you could come up with a 2 line chorus & I think it would be better smile

Anyway I was just thinking smile

Tops,

This is some real quality stuff, the recording , instruments and vocals are all top notch.

Alot of folks love to raise their mugs or glasses and have fun with that one. I thought it would be cool with a Santa twist .

I like to take a song and give it a Weird Al Yankovic  twist.

Here's one I am making a video on soon, a few lyrics that I wrote about an old gal that like to party too much. She was quite a lot older than alot of the boys she partied with. She had an accident in her white hot  pants one night at a beach party as we were singing and dancing around the fire. About 30 years ago

First verse

I knew a gal named Dee Dee and she'd dance for you, Around the Fire
She did her dance, ya she  S&#T her pants and she danced some more round the fire
She let one rip, ya she let one slip, ya she pooped her pants. Them white hot pants

Chorus
Miss Dee Dee , Miss Dee Dee
Pooped her Pants

You can probably figured out the melody I used from another song smile

The names have been changed to protect the innocent and guilty smile

I hadn't heard of that model before. I did some reading on it and it sounds like you picked a good guitar and with a mahogany back and sides and a spruce top I bet the notes ring like bells smile

Hey Cam,

How about a report on the new guitar and amp, now that you have them home. Do you have a mic ? If so we need to see  you in action with your new baby's.

Good for you Hopeful,

What brand and model guitar is it ? Please share more info. A guitar's setup can really help especially when just starting out. I think it is one of the huge stumbling blocks folks run into, starting with a guitar that is almost unplayable even to an experienced player.

Enjoy your new friend smile

Heya Zurf,

Rustic wouldn't be so bad smile  I once had a guy tell me

" Help me please, your singing is so bad if you had a pitch correction device it would grow arms and flip you the finger for making it work so hard"
