I liked the 'sitar' sound in the lead, but the electronic toms didn't really fit in there; although the bass drum sounded in place .... overall it was quite good, though ...

That was really great!! I must admit I generally 'skim' the written part of the songwriters part, so vaguely remember the post ... and I can't watch videos when I'm at work, so I'll have to go back and find it.

Being  history teacher it was even more fascinating. I love songs that illuminate the human struggle, and how simple lives should be honored as great contributors as well as the rich that men tht got all the credit.
Well done my friend.

Neo I do not think it is the same. The  Fender Polish is not combustible and the polish you are using is marked  as Combustible which means it is not made in the same factory. By the way finder also sells a microfiber cloth for their polish. The polish you listed most likely has linseed oil  if it is supposed to be mixed before it is used.

True - I didn't notice that ... I'll have to have a look on the bottle to see what it consists of; I bought it from the John Mann shop to increase my purchase to get free postage (if I remember correctly), as postage to Australia from the USA seems to have grown dramatically over the last few years ....

I use the PRS equivalent: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail … tar-polish

Better? Worse? Probably made in the same factory ... wink

Welcome back for you brief visit - hope all is OK at your end ...

Didn't we do a FSOTM on this subject??

That's really well done, Neo ... you've got a great flowing guitar style and really good voice. For what it's worth, you probably didn't need as much reverb on the vocals. I loved your "No whistling" comment ... good stuff, buddy!

Thank you.

I'm using a single mic to pick everything up, so the reverb for the guitar is also the reverb for the vocals. Sometimes I get a good balance and sometimes not ... still experimenting smile

I can't remember the exact saying, nor who said it, but it's something like "It's better to be a fool among kings than a king amonst fools" .... smile

Thanks - it's interesting to strip down the "synth pop" songs of the 80's and see how they hold up; unfortunately I can't do the french vocal bits, as it was kind of the highlight of the song ....

But glad you liked it!!
