Ah the poor wee worm!

Lovely descriptive piece Phil.  I love the silence that snowfall brings with it.

I watched some thrushes today in the garden. Lord there all so hungry at the moment. We have had
no thaw either.Near broke my derrier today just going to feed them. Thrushes love worms  usually but today they were
eating nuts, some chopped apple and blueberries..
Hmm, i wonder is that why there all so slim   Unfortunately a lot will die if this  weather keeps up.

Thanks as always Phil.

Hi Docs,
When i read your piece first, it reminded me of the sunday mornings many years ago. My kids then would come into my bed. I used to read the full version of Mary Howitt's "Come into the parlour said the spider to the fly". My kids always loved it. Although my eldest son is sooooooo scared now of spiders lol I didnt realize i was scaring him with my animation of same.

I took my dogs walking earlier. I near landed on my derrier 3 times. I was concentrating more on lyrics
for your PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE" then my safety. Ok Sir, maybe not what you wished for but ! Change or use whatever you wish.

Fiddler spider and the Doc’s.                               Helena Donovan.

“Our reclusive days are over  Said the fiddler to THE DOCS
Let’s polish up the Crotch,   go ride as fast as rockets.
“Forget about them parlours, Forget about them flies
Well tear up some old boot heels,   were the rocking guys...

Let’s  customize our look , bare our souls through rock and roll
You  the great guitarist, I’ll put rosin on me bow
Smoke some weed, drink poteen, my bite ill keep within
Relaxed and stoned no fears ! I won’t necrotise your skin

I’ll keep it for the groupies; we’ll meet along the way
Cupids eyes  of 8, scanning   girls for easy lay.
Will be rocking, Snell approved, safe inside airframes
Hit the big time, wow the chicks,  toast them with champagne

Ill fiddle with them strings, golden rosin, solo bender
You   docs can show your grip with vintage keys for fenders
Well play the greatest gigs till our rosin all runs low
Get a boost at Betty Ford, to find our up and go

Buy a mustang for the days were feeling  all tired out
Hit the coast, do hairy Moonies, in leather vested cloth
Nimble ride back through the years, get our kicks on 66
This parlour life is over docs, it’s a webby sticky trick.

Old Doll.

You know what Docs !

this could be a great wee catchy tune with a little more added  or slightly changed lyrics.

It does sound like the spider and the driver has had to much wacky backy lol
But then ! how many tunes were written under the influence of something or other ?

Morning Docs,

I cannot even imagine how life must be for you Sir.  your free in so far that you've learned to share your deepest feelings.
I believe thats a very brave  thing to do.  The seeds of your life before your accident are not diminished, just altered Docs.

I liken your life now to a hybrid ! Life now offers the blending of the best characteristics you still possess. Its a refocusing of newly planted life seeds. You are still Lieven. Altered yes! but lifes purpose remains the same.
You must think about how resilient you were and are. You sir are a living miracle. A testament to your own survival.
Ask life to open new doors for you. I will also ask in prayer for you for peace of mind and acceptance.

Russell is right in what he says. "any day you wake up is a good day not a sentence."

C'mon now Docs tell Old Doll how you lost 25kg ? lol Just kidding !

Warm Hugs to you Special man.

I had my usual trip to the Fairy Glen in the Mourne Mountains just recently. For me this place is magical. I took  notes on the day about my experience while there. This is the piece.
Thanks in advance for reading.

Thinking of Unknown

Angels walked with me today with thought of Botticelli
Images divine grace me with such pleasure
I pray “to soar a while, ascend   the trees so tall
Inside protective wings, blending with the snow

Temperature is low, soul imaged on powder snow
Silence, your presence is unveiled in woodland growth
Voices heard like whispers, sweet celestial sounds
Echo in my head from the mountains all around.

Solitary playing I never quite achieved
Gloved hands make a snowball; I hurl it like a kid
A robin flies out quickly, waistcoat red with pride
His bushy home invaded, he chattered to chastise.

Quietly I watched him as he flew from tree to tree
Winged angelic grace like the ones protecting me
Mastering through time to act as if alone
Territorial comfort halts my thinking of
Unknowns.
