That "Y" adapter is this the one with an USB side on one end and 2 colored kind of "jacks" at the other side? I think I have these things.
The frontside of my PC has 2 jack-inputs that I use(d) for my skype mic.
I almost don't use skype because you get so many "indecent proposals" for S**, so I can use these 2 to connect my BOSS or my PX5D? I have a few programs like AUDACITY, ABLETON and on a CD I have BAND-IN-A-BOX. Thank you so much RUSSELL (the wizard of recording.)

As we all know there are a lot of bands who started with family members.
- Oasis
- Beach Boys
- Creedence Clearwater Revival
- Bee Gees
- Dire Straits
To mention some bands. Often there are huge problems between the brothers.
MARK KNOPFLER versus DAVID KNOPFLER, JOHN FOGERTY versus TOM FOGERTY.
I have some albums of these guys. If you close your eyes and you listen to a solo album by DAVID Knopfler, or TOM FOGERTY you should swear that it's Mark or John.
Same with the Bee Gees.
Does this happen often, is this coincidence? I just know that some voices are almost 100% equal.
WHAT IS YOUR OPINION ABOUT THIS AND DO YOU KNOW OTHER BANDS?

The DUESENBERG I have is the 49er.
Les Paul shape, 1 single coil neck and a humbucker bridge.
The cheapest model is the STARPLAYER SPECIAL with 2 humbuckers. Other solid body guitars are the D-CASTER with 2 single coils, the V-CASTER having 3 single coils.
But what I don't understand is that the most popular guitar is the 49er.
Semi-hollow body the endorsement models like Mike CAMPBELL & CARL CARLTON (this a Gibson 335 shape model, but semi-hollow) they all have the single neck coil and bridge humbucker.
I am saving money for the STARPLAYER TV with tremolo and almost identical to the Campbell model.
THE ONLY THING I CAN TELL IS:
- GO TO YOUTUBE and compare them.
- This brand will become more and more a big player in guitar world. There are already a lot of people who claim that the Duesenberg is better than most of the famous brands.
As known I have a nice collection but my number ONE guitar is the 49er. AMAZING: the looks (art deco style) very easy to play and versatile, and the sound? I have no words.

One of my all time favorite chords is G, followed by D (because in that little D you can create great sounds by changing a finger, like D, D7, Dm)
My favorite switching is going from C to E7, and from E7 to Am back to C.

Well Russell, sorry for my long personal story, it wasn't meant to be written here, but it's horrible to loose your child's dream.

You get a CD with ABLETON LITE and of course I can't get AGAIN a decent song on my PC.
I have it since 10 days and WOW! this PX5D has it all. Plug in your guitar, a set of headphones (or an amp) and there you go, from jazz, blues, metal, chorus, weird sounds like bubbles or a "talking" guitar with an entire rhythm section. It is the best item I have, better than floorboards. BUT AGAIN IMPOSSIBLE TO PUT THAT SONG ON MY PC.
2) About the BOSS BR 600 = same problem, but I have the impression that I get closer to record a song.
MY PROBLEM IS = I HATE MANUALS, I am too impatient to read all the steps (200 pages). What I don't get is this: YOU HAVE A COMPACT FLASH CARD and I was convinced that once I recorded a song on that CF card, my song would be on my PC by putting the CF card in my PC.
The answer is NO, so MY QUESTION = is there a simple way to record your song on that CF card and being able to listen to that song immediately.
WHAT IS YOUR ADVICE RUSSELL HOW TO PLAY MY SONG ON MY PC?

Well this item is one of the most amazing things I ever had for my guitar.

It's unbelievable, so small and so much on board. It's really a dream. All you need basicly is a guitar, and a set of earphones. Of course you can use your amp to connect it, but you have hundreds of different possibilities and using the headphones you have even a better sound without disturbing 1 single person.
About the vox amplug see http://www.voxamps.co.uk/amplug/ and it is a matchbox sized item to plug in your guitar and enjoy it for practicing. You have 3 types: AC30, Classic Rock & Metal.
But nothing beats the PX5D. Follow the rhythm, and I can only assure you that 2 weeks later you play your guitar better.

My opinion is that the "poor, infantile personality" is a part of him like his arm or leg.
- Is it normal to have still that high voice?
- A performance: while singing and dancing (I admit he is a "brilliant dancer") but the different moves he makes and especially feeling if everything is still OK under his belt IS IN MY EYES PROFANITY!!! What Elvis did was peanuts compared to M.J.
- Are there comments on his performance? Here in Europe we are a lot less fanatic concerning these acts.
- Who agrees with me that he IS TAKING FEMALE HORMONES in order to keep his voice high. As a professional I say: look at his poor hair grow on the place where all of us have a beard.

I hope to stay cool because I have got almost every 14 days a recurrent fever with temperatures over 39°C.
BUT since I have some toys now like my BOSS BR 600, a VOX AMPLUG AC 30 & CLASSIC ROCK + my korg pandora PX5D I can play as much as I want without disturbing others. Last time I had my Martin D45V but the "noise" a dreadnought produces is vey loud in a hospital, so now I go electric, a set of headphones and play. PROBLEM: THE PAIN IN MY BACK INCREASES MORE THAN NORMAL WHEN I DRIVE MY CAR, WHEN I AM SITTING IN A CERTAIN POSITION. I can do a lot but the time is very limited and this isn't good for my mind.
But as I always say: tomorrow is another day.

I play 30 years, so I have bad habits, and last but not least I CAN'T PLAY "FINGER PICKING".
DID I ACT WELL BY BUYING A "BEGINNERS" BOOK with CD & DVD about fingerpicking because I am afraid that I will return to my old habit: strumming.

RESULT: I have a small studio BOSS BR 600, BUT MORE IMPORTANT IS THAT I HAVE A KORG PANDORA PX5D providing me all I need, bass, drums and a lot of effects.
IS THIS A VERY GOOD IDEA OR START playing alone using an electronic compagnon?

If you see the sequence of the songs there is often a BIG DIFFERENCE in the 3 major markets.
- UK + EUROPE
- JAPAN
- USA
Take the BEATLES on the UK album you will have "let it be" on 1, "yesterday" on 2, "paperback writer on 3 on the UK album, in Japan "let it be" is on 5, and "paperback writer" is not on the album.
in the USA "yesterday" is on 1.
WHY? is this dependant of musical taste?

Like Fleetwood Mac, with the album English Rose and I believe the play on.
You often see an album with track one in Europe will be track 5 in the USA and possible not present on the Japanese album.
What is the reason of changing track numbers or bringing an almost similar album out in the UK versus USA?

Well my dearest big BRO, that's the problem.
I wrote this topic with JOHN FOGERTY IN MIND. They probably signed a "dirty contract, giving the rights away on his songs", also the STORY JACKSON versus Mc CARTNEY, (I STILL CAN'T IMAGINE THAT "SIR" PAUL SOLD the rights of his songs to Michael Jackson). Or was it YOKO ONO?
I start with a completely UNKNOWN band, let's say you with James, Toney, Ken and Lena as singer. Of course accompanied with the GREAT CHORDIE CHOIR.
I write a really catchy tune and lyrics and indeed, the impossible happens, there are 10.000.000 copies sold worlds wide. About contracts there is no dispute all the songs are subject of copyright, meaning nobody can steal your song because it is registred.
HERE IS MY QUESTION: WHO GETS WHAT?
I am aware that it all depends on a lot more factors than selling a record. But Lena is not only the singer, she is let's say a lawyer and is manager of the band. THIS IS REALITY AND NO DREAMING.
I agree the most fantastic way to sell songs is a direct download 99 cent/song. No record
company, no limits.
Are the %%% dependent from country to country? Probably not.
Bands having great songs don't play the game Lennon/McCartney or Jagger/Richards but they credit all members, which is fair enough because in the process of writing a song by A & B, C & D add a lot too.

I would love to compare some GIBSON LES PAUL guitars:
- Gibson Les Paul Standard: they have a set of BURST BUCKERS PRO HUMBUCKERS faithfully capturing the PAF'S from the 50ties.
- GIBSON LES PAUL CLASSIC seems a ROCK MONSTER if you see what humbuckers they use:
Bridge Pickup: 500T HB, Neck Pickup: 496 HB
- GIBSON STUDIO LES PAUL : Bridge: 500T HB neck: 496R HB
My question is what is the difference in sound between a CLASSIC and a STUDIO? Both use mahagony wood and slowly I am loosing my clear sight to judge and compare because they start "copying" Fender with a lot of Gibsons like Slash, Zakk Wylde and many more.
