Strangely enough.... I don't think I've ever seen a "B" chord uesd in a song in the song writing section...
Maybe it's what someone said...

Your song seems quite sad a break up of a relationship maybe.
Anyway well done any chance of being able to record the song so we can hear the melody.

Hi stealstrings
I think this might be your first song on the forum so welcome.
Interesting lyrics not sure what they mean. It's only a suggestion but it might help others to understand your song if you maybe explained a little of what you had in mind when you wrote it.
You may not want to that's fine...
Hope you can record the song at sometime so we can hear the melody.
Well done

Re: who is considered the best drummer? (51 replies, posted in Chordie's Chat Corner)
Back in the old prog rock days I always thought Carl Palmer was pretty electrifying drummer. His drumming always seemed to drive ELP trio along superbly...
Not being a expert in the drumming department or any other for that matter just thought I give him a mention.

Re: Playing a song...the whole way through (24 replies, posted in Acoustic)
Hi nevets17
I’m an oldbie amateur who likes to please himself I rarely take the time to learn a song all the way through. I have in the past but now this holds no interest to me.
I guess the only songs I complete now are my own.
Covers are fine if they float your boat but in my opinion musically they are a road to nowhere.
Just my views.

thanks to all for commenting, as always it's a pleasure working with russ, hope you have a nice visit with your sister.
i got the indian vibe when russ first introduced me to the song, i admit i was a little dubious at first, but with some trans-atlantic idea bouncing i think we got a result.
well i'm so shocked, in the first posts (which i unfortunately deleted...ooops!) "magical mystery tour" was mentioned...now ELP and my great favourite, vocally, musically and song-writing-ly(?) ian anderson, along with the lennon/mccartney comparisons....have i died and gone to song writers heaven?
thanks everyone
phill
Been meaning to recomment.....
Yep it was me with magical mystery tour far out Ravi Shankar and all that comparsion.
seriously mmmm.....
ELP? Greg Lake maybe but Ian Anderson? can't see you standing on one leg there Phill.
Jon Anderson I can make a good case
Anyway good job to the both of you.
Hope the hols went well..

Re: Sad Country Songs Always Make Me Cry (12 replies, posted in Songwriting)
Hi Jody Wayne
The subject of critique on a song has been raised and discussed before on the forum. The general consenus was that it is up to the replier to critique if they want to but if no critique has been specifically asked for then some members may consider it rude to do so.
My suggestion would be perhaps in the title add "Please critique" or something similar making it plain you welcome suggestions etc on the song.

Re: Printing Songbook Problems (15 replies, posted in About Chordie)
Thanks for your new info...I'll give it a try.
I find that when I copy and paste from Chordie to Word or Excel...this gives me the best options for what I want to do. But to be exact....I buy the artists own sheet music (usually in a many songbook format)...sad to say how off and wrong the Chordie songs are..it's disheartening. For example: Mark Knopfler's "Who's Your Baby Now" on Chordie doesn't make mention that (this version) is for guitars 2 & 3 not guitar 1 (MK's) which is Capo'd on the 5th fret and chorded differently.
Still...it's pretty damn good.
Hi Jim Beglinger
Please note that Chordie is only a search engine and presents chords in Chopro from other websites.
The fact that some songs are "off and wrong" is down to the original website they are taken from and not the fault of Chordie.
