OK. It is the 800x600 that really is the problem there. Now I understand what you are talking about..<img src="images/smiley_icons/icon_smile.gif" border=0 alt="Smile">
I will look into it, but cant promise anything. Ill report back here if I am able to fix it.
Where does it say that you should enable private mesaging. Private messaging should be enabled by default. There are no settings for your profile.
There is actually a bug on this song, as the first line is not showing. It is a known bug, and it will be fixed very soon.
Chordie works like a search engine, and the indexed song only do have one verse. Sorry about that.
I am unable to make sense of the layout problem since I do not know your browser version / screen resolution.
This is what you should see if you print the song:
<img src="index.php?t=getfile&id=9&private=0" border=0 alt="index.php?t=getfile&id=9&private=0">
I am attaching a screenshot of what I am seeing. I cant see any major problems there.
Is this about what you are seeing? Do the errors only sho up when printing?
<img src="index.php?t=getfile&id=8&private=0" border=0 alt="index.php?t=getfile&id=8&private=0">
This was strange. It this the url you are trying to open?
<a href="http://www.chordie.com/chord.pere/www.guitartabs.cc/fetchfile.php?fileid=9025884" target="_blank"> http://www.chordie.com/chord.pere/www.g … c/fetchfil e.php?fileid=9025884</a>
I have testet this in IE6 and Firefox, and I can't find anything wrong. What browser/OS are you using?
You should not have to save page/delete ads. Everything should print without any problem. If not, tell me, and Ill fix it.
If you got a screenshot of what you are seeing, please send it to <a href="mailto:admin@chordie.com" target="_blank">admin@chordie.com</a>
I've made a small change to the search that I think would improve the usability.
Try searching for "Dylan", and you will see what I mean. Entering an artistname might be faster than browsing to find it.
Please give feedback.
I think the new feature announced today will solve this problem. Please see the announcement.
The number of songs are growing, and I am starting to get feedback saying that there is actually too many..
It is not possible to hide some songs. You have following options:
* You can view only very easy songs
* You can view only songs that are formatted with grids
* You can view only tablatures
I had to rewrite a lot of code to make this possible, and then it might also introduce some bugs. Keed giving feedback, and I'll fix them... <img src="images/smiley_icons/icon_smile.gif" border=0 alt="Smile">
I have been doing quite a lot of updates to the base system lately. I am nt able to reproduce this, but it might very well be happening.
Could you please use the feedback-form on <a href="http://www.chordie.com/feedback.php" target="_blank">http://www.chordie.com/feedback.php</a>. Post me the addresses (urls) where this is happening, and Ill check it out.
At the moment this is not possible. I might fix this in the future, but (for various technical reasons) it is actually quite a lot of work. Until a lot of people are requesting this, it will have a relative low priority.
Yes, that is a good idea. <img src="images/smiley_icons/icon_smile.gif" border=0 alt="Smile">
Ive added some semi-anonymous private messaging. Could you test it out, and see if it works. Please report experiences in this thread.
Could you post the url to one song that has this problem?
If you use this code in the text:
"open straight bracket" song "close straight bracket"
{t: My song}
{st: Admin}
The first [C]line [Am]
The second [G]line [C]
"open straight bracket" /song]"close straight bracket"
You will get a song that looks like this:
You can now post your own songs in chopro-format, and they will show up formatted on the forum. Note that this should only be used on lyrics that you have written yourself.
The new format is:
<div class="pre"><pre>[SONG]Insert song here in chopro-format[/SONG]</pre></div>
If you do not know what the chopro-format is, learn about it here:

Great!! Very nice review.. <img src="images/smiley_icons/icon_biggrin.gif" border=0 alt="Very Happy"> Thanks.
Thanks a lot for the reviews. They were great. <img src="images/smiley_icons/icon_biggrin.gif" border=0 alt="Very Happy">
Since you asked for more goyag300, Ill give you some.. <img src="images/smiley_icons/icon_smile.gif" border=0 alt="Smile"> But, as you said, do one or two. And write your own opinions. Doing mass posting would just be considered as spam, and hurt the site anyway.

There is very few reviews of Chordie on the Internet.
I would very much appreciate if any of you, could take a few minutes reviewing it.
There are multiple review-sites out there, and here is one example at amazon.com:

Chordie is usually updated every 4-6 weeks. Last time about 400.000 songs were added. This would make such a list meaningless.
I will however try to make a "whats hot"-list. This could be songs that other users have added to their songbook the last couple of days. Does this sound useful?
Thanks. I have removed this section, and you will no longer see this.
Chordie is now officially gender neutral...
Sorry for not giving this important issue more attention. I guess it is easier for me to fix this here than asking you to fix the discrepancy on your side. <img src="images/smiley_icons/icon_biggrin.gif" border=0 alt="Very Happy">
Charlotte: Changing a name is actually a bit tricky. It is easiest if you open an account in a new name you like (I would not recommend a name like "Cindy", as you might not like it in the long run), and mail me the new name (<a href="mailto:admin@chordie.com" target="_blank">admin@chordie.com</a>). Then I'll copy your songbooks to the new account.
As to everybody getting listed as female: Where do you see that? I havent written the code for this forum, and I do not know all the functions.
Just thought I should remind any new users of the intrument/tuning-funciton in Chordie. You can use that to convert most of the songs to the uke-variants.
You can also set the uke as your default isntrument.
No songs are hosted at the Chordie. They are just linked to, and formatted on the fly. There are legal reasons for this. Please read the FAQ for a more information.
This also means no complete songs can be posted on this forum. I will however allow short summaries of how songs are played.
Think I found it, and fixed it. Can anyone reproduce this now?
