hi gweilmfloyd,bar chords and f and b chords are hard when you are starting out for most of us. did you consider putting in aftermarket place and remove pickup in the sound hole for your acoustic,then you will have an a/e. I strongly recommend buying any guitar you like and have your hands on as you can go to alot of places and buy new and used,but you will not really know what it is like untill you have already put out your hard earned dollers. most likely it will be to late to get your money back. There are many inexpensive guitars around,try your local shops etc,where you can sit down and play it and see if you like the insterment. Good luck!! and welcome to chordie!

Merry almost christmas,we still have a couple more weeks to shop send cards and get gifts. I spent my xmas money for a new guitar on a new front end on my car yesterday,new ball joints and such.O well I will get a new one some day. sounds like you enjoy the bass alot badeye,good for you. I have goofed around with them a couple of times,I think if I had one I would try some more playing. I do like all the bass being played in the beatles songs,Abby road has tons of it in most of the songs. I have talked to some players and they say it is alot easier too master then reguler guitar.

Hi nevets did you consider getting an acoustic and buying a pickup to put in as you please in the sound hole,that is what I do when I want to play my yamaha on an amp.

I have the same feelings about the people messing it up,but they enable that kind of playing, what bothers me most is seeing a salesperson selling an insterment to people who do not know much and they overcharge them,and also selling to people who should not buy a high end guitar untill they know they are going to stick with it. They have a price leway,I have never paid the asking price!!,if they do not agree with my price I tell them I will get it elsewhere,and that works.

Hi selso,sorry to hear it happended to you,it is a fifty fifty chance these days,it happened to me also. I got some advice from some people and the best was to keep total focus on the children and don't get them into any disagrements and put them first. I also only thought of the bad times and things I did not like about her,that helped me get over it faster.

I like the smell of the wood on a new guitar also,but it never got me to buy one. My old one smells like beer,pizza and fritoe's corn chips it took awile to get that way.
