i bought a epiphone for under 100.00 it has overdrive and a clean channel with a ten inch speaker and it will play as loud as you can stand it plus get complaints from the neighbors so all you gota do is settle for a amp that gets the job done and when your ready to upgrade and your playing warrents it other possibilitys will present themselves so practice on your crappy amp i'll lay odds I could make your amp sound great so its not the amp its you

i dont know doc tunning is kind of a ritual with me and i enjoy doing it myself i like the idea that i control the procedure not some machine theres to much we entrust to devices because its easier and quicker i favor a slower hands on approach

Re: AUTOMATIC GUITAR TUNER (25 replies, posted in Guitars and accessories)
doc i dont think any tuner is automatic eccept the robot guitar, you still have to turn the pegs and if you have limited eyesight or none you have to tune by ear also if the intonation is off then you will never be in tune no matter how many times it looks good when you tune the open strings.

Here some links to youtube. I, who was for 15 years the ROCKDOC backstage, on one of Europe's biggest festivals, am getting old. It' s very hard for me to live, thanks to CHORDIE, I am still here.
What purpose? what goal? what use do I have? I live from day to day, and that's good for me.
Also making some plans, like going too BERLIN, too DUBAI, too CANADA, it makes me happy. The best holidays are, if you surf enough, planning them: A CAR, NOT "THE" Expensive HOTELS. This also prevents me from thinking. Besides: arranging a holiday trip, this is something I love so much
giving me often a "déj -vue"because of studying, yes STUDYING almost all about the country, the people, the culture...
Here some nice links:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wl9aAQQZhlwAgain, use this link and you will see, a more "garage rock" band. Pretty good.
Street buskers: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gz_3ylMA4wo.We have also DEATH METAL BANDS, with the horrible GRAVEYARD VOICE.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YwaUTe4n7hg also http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jS2-o7lC … re=related
ALSO VERY NICE SING & SONGWRITERS http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yI2HUQpWXRsINCREDIBLE: I saw some guys playing the JIMI Hendrix version of "HEY JOE" it seems to be not difficult and once you get the chord sequence = the start. E - C - G - D. But again I try to be useful to pick out some great songs, and I share all interesting links, or the "how to play it".

Re: Slipping picks (33 replies, posted in Acoustic)
i wasn't being serious
another option to make your pick/plectrum is to make a hole in them so you finger and thumb make skin contact.
I think you can also buy plectrums that have holes in them already.
Since your skin touches skin there is no way the plecky can slip.As for Russell saying hold it tighter, this will give you cramp in your hand after a while, unless you exersise your hand with some weights and really build those muscles up
yeah, a hole in the plectrum is my answer.

ken you cant go wrong with digital no matter how many times you shift tracks the quality stays true i just finished a project it was more an experiment since i never attemted this before, ark sent me one of his songs i had to figure out how to burn it to disk, feed the info into my digital BR-8 and record additional tracks while keeping the integrety and pan all tracks so they each had a location on the playback and burn it to my tascam cd-rw 700 the finished mix had to be ripped to the media library and from there it was now located in my files the rest was gravy clickl on the file and email it back to ark it took the whole morning i started at 7am and finished at noon but the end product was as good as anything ive recorded well worth the time and effort but i wont know till ark emails me, i may have to modifie it but i know the sequence and it wont be any trouble

one thing about bouncing tracks unless you have a digital recorder you will lose tone quality assuming you trying to bounce them on a tape recorder rather then a digital recorder, each generation of bounce (number of times you bounce) extracts playback quality and the end product most of the time is disapointing

Re: How do you play rythym fast? (3 replies, posted in Electric)
you can mute the other strings with either the palm of your picking hand or by useing part of your fingers or thumb on your fretboard,it would help to know what kind of song your trying to play fast.you start strumming slow and even and gradually speed up but keep the meter(time) even up and down strums are the easiest down up down up and keep repeating slow to start and faster once you have the feel for it steady and even
