Hanging at the house tonight and was thinking we haven't had a skype Jam in a while. If anyone is up for it, I'm logged in.

Do you drink wine?  If so, do you prefer whites or reds?

- Zurf

I'm not much of a wine drinker, primarily because I am uneducated and a wine list can be very intimidating. That said, I do enjoy a glass of wine with dinner if somebody knows what they are ordering.

There's still 1/2 bottle of that Honey Turkey in the cabinet you can sip on while you settle in. I think Amy is a bourbon drinker as well.

Cancer sucks - my thoughts are with you deadstring.

I would definitely watch more figure skating if there were more Pink Floyd and Ashley Wagner in it. WOW!

I guess I was 6 months in the womb when the Beatles landed in the US. However I have loved them my entire life. My Aunt (mom's younger sister) was a hippie and a huge Beatles fan - I remember her room covered with Beatles posters and listening to the 45's on her little record player. Later, when the Beatles were first issued on CD, I had a standing order for every CD as they were released. Still today one of my favorite bands - the catalog as a whole is amazing. Lennon as a composer is equal to Mozart, Beethoven - anyone who has ever made music. I still have several original Beatles albums on vinyl including  Meet The Beatles LP - probably from my Mom's collection - I just saw an original edition going for $2,200! I'll have to dig that out of the basement and keep better care of it!

Sorry you can't make it BGD - plan for next year!

So we are 2 weeks away - what is everyone's adult beverage of choice?

Try practicing 1 chord sequence at a time and add as you go. For example - do the G to F#m till you have it down, then add the D, etc. Justin's one minute change exercise is the way to go

And he has a free app to help track your progress

Good luck!

I just sent a facebook message with event activities and contact details to all that i know who are coming, those that gave a maybe and a few folks who I know aren't coming just to make them jealous. smile

If you didn't get the message or unable to download the word attachment, please let me know!

Waiting for the next installment Joe - watcha got next? Duran Duran? Wham!? Howard Jones? Tears for Fears?

Amy - your voice is angelic as usual, but I'm really digging the slap chop muting rhythm strumming - I think that's new to your repertoire since I saw you last summer?

Looking forward to seeing / hearing you in a few weeks!

Dino - yes, the Tak is an A/E - it was my first "good" guitar I bought when I started playing again 6 or 7 years ago. My son plays that guitar primarily now, so I doubt I will sell it. Every guitar I have has far more sentimental value than I could sell it for, especially considering I don't need the money. As long as I have wall and floor space, there is always room for another guitar. I don't have a wife to tell me otherwise! smile

Same for the Mustang - I have a feeling it will stay in the family for sometime, probably handed down to one of the kids when the time comes.

Thanks dino and Z - it really is incredible for a $300 guitar - I bought it thinking I could easily turn it over at cost (a friend is looking for a beginner guit), but the more I play it the more I'm thinking it's a keeper - I might sell him my Tak instead!

I couldn't pass up the deal. It was a MF Stupid Deal of the Day last week - almost 1/2 price. Breedlove solid hog top, laminated hog back and sides with electronics - sure is pretty. Action is fantastic. Amazing sound for a $300 guitar!!

Mythbusters sounds like fun, but I have to ask - Will there be guitars there? Will there be booze there? As I believe the answer to both questions are no, I think I'll hang out with fellow guitar playin', booze drinkin' folks that weekend. I can see the exhibit some other time!
