great to hear from two great thinking men.
thinking almost seems like a lost art.many people just seem to
repeat what they been told, not able to think for themselves.

I don`t really listen to lyrics deeply i`m ashamed to say, this guy puts an interesting perspective
on two writers that are very different ,the poor guy is optomistic and the rich guy masquarading
as a poor guy is pesimistic.interesting?
ps i enjoy both of these performers.

Shes great,an actual talent on these type of shows is a rarity.
I hope she doen`t let them mould her into something different to what she is.
but i suspect they will.

after much research i found it,electric sitar.
used in Beatles  Norwegian Wood plus heaps of other songs
Stevie Wonder/Tom Petty/Boxtops/Joe South/Steely Dan
it sounds great.same tuning as guitar etc

Welcome,i see you are from Bangladesh i watched your cricketers
this summer on their tour on NZ

Another group of people that are now unemployed is from `the ministry of free speech``
don`t know if theres any songs about this one though.

Don`t know if there were any jobs at Dept of Common Sense
but if there ever was it surely doesn`t exist any more.

thanks for replies, just remembered,i saw The Hollies a few weeks ago
they had that sound on `The Baby``must be a guitar effect.any ideas you gadget people?

I`ve heard a piece of instrumental music and i love the sound.
i`ve heard it a few times and don`t know if it`s guitar or keyboard.
Or hows it`s produced.
an example that you may know is the instrumental break in BJ Thomas
`eyes of a new york woman``
thanks in advance

Peatle ah the ever interesting Peatle, can`t wait till catch at the pub on sunday.
I`m sure you`ll have another interesting lot of facts to share.
As for me, i enjoy just listening, mainly because ya can`t drink and talk at the same time.

a cover that comes to my mind is the Blind Faith album
when i was a teenager i think the naked girl on the cover was a great selling point.

great i got u guys involved, everyone has an opinion,it`s good to hear them.
i may not agree with you,but it doesn`t deminish your opinion
thanks for the conversation

i wrote this a yr or so ago, with the recent tragedy in Christchurch it is even more topical.
i`m sorry to say the finger pointing and blame game has started,it`s almost point scoring
at the exspense of so many lost lives.goodness knows what has become of my once peaceful country.

I think we should rename chordie, instead call it Beamer.
He`s the only one keeping it alive,i guess many like myself
are talking behind the scenes because of the lack of conversation on here.
it is a shame the lack of interest in others.
it never ceases to amaze me the differences between musicians and my other passion(tennis)
i`ve met and played a lot of people(tennis) without exception they are interested in talking about their game and also mine.
it seems a pity musicians are so different.
there got that off my chest!

thanks for having a listen Phill & Peatle. This is the first song i have actually written.
i`ve done hundreds of songs, but they are usually off the cuff, with little or no prep.
this one took me a few days, got the idea for the title watching an old war doco.
loved the title, just needed to find some words to match with it.a few days of chatting
to people and reading the news etc gave me the other bits and pieces.
same with the chords used,i actually spent half an hr sorting that.
i was very happy with what i had written, but was scared to record it,as i thought i would ruin it.
finally once thru(unusual for me too)then record!
maybe i`ll do more songs this way in future,i`ll have to wait and see.
thanks again.
