I was playing at a campsite in New Zealand using a little reading lamp suspended by a chord from my neck. My battery started to go so a local fisherman got a big, tall kerosene lamp from his boat and set it on a tree stump. I opened my book next to it and was good to go.

I walked into a dog-eared bar in Mobile, Alabama where my band had a six-night gig for several months. I stepped up on the band stand and began taking my guitar out of it's case when I heard a someone whisper my name. I looked around and saw our bass player lying under a nearby table. He pointed toward the bar. I looked around and saw two guys - each with a pistol pressed into each other's neck. A absolute standoff.
I continued to get ready for work. I told the bass player that no way would these clowns shoot. It took a few minutes for the lady bar owner to sweet talk these thugs into putting their guns away.
Now that I'm older, I realize what an idiot I was. There ARE people stupid enough to pull the trigger in a situation as tense as that.

I hear an A chord after the E minor. On this tune it helps to jot the chords in red ink over the lyric syllable where it hits.

Like the paisley pick guard.
if I had long skinny fingers that could move like that I would be a far richer man.

It is good exercise.  Also you can't figure out a solo with scales.

- Zurf

True, sir, but you can use a scale to figure out which notes are fair and foul when preparing your solo.

Attaboy, DM. Apparently you are a man who can rise to the occasion.
Well done, sir. Good things come and you are prepared.

The video is in C# so use a capo on your first fret and play with key of C or D shapes.
Using key of C shapes I find:
C, F, G, C. for the verses.
Bridge goes: Am, G, F,G, Am G, F,G, C, Bb, F, G,C, F, G

Anybody who ever grew pot in the woods will tell you that deer and cattle etc... will gobble up every pot plant they find.
I had a relative who was so paranoid and nervous she was miserable.
Her upbringing would never allow her to consider smoking pot but our family doctor told me it would have helped her a lot.
Ever hear of a pothead starting a bar fight?

Hi Jerry, I Binged up Spotify. It is something you have to down load.
Downloads make me nervous. Do you recommend this, sir?

She's singing it in Eb7, Ab7, Bb7.
Capo on first fret you get: D7,G7,A7.

It makes a lot of sense. Request cards help the DJ remember the requests and enables him to line the requests up in order.
If more than one request is listed on a card the DJ can use some discretion working them in with his line-up.

The rap part is all in F. The singing is: Eb, Ab, Eb, Bb.
if you capo the first fret, you could play the rap part in E and the singing in: D,G,D,A.

A big store like Guitar Center has stocks of single strings in most any size. You can buy single strings and mix and match.

Had a lead guitar player tell me his playing was vastly better when he got stoned. I told him to go smoke some and then join us on stage.
He wasn't all that great sober. Stoned, his playing was measurably worse. HE thought he was better.

A generous action on your part, Butch, made for the best of reasons.
I pray you find strength to continue leading your family and finding the very best situation for them even at your own discomfort.
I respect your decisions, sir. You can't go wrong doing the right thing.
I am sure your in-laws will do their best to support you and your beloved wife in these difficult times.

This is a relevant issue these days. Almost everyone has an opinion one way or another. The drug war is a mess. People are suffering whether they deserve it or not.
I smoked cigarettes for 45 years, pot for 40. I quit tobacco when I found I had heart disease. I quit pot when the weight gain became a problem.
Sobriety is a fun trip all it's own. I finally am free of any need to smoke anything and what a relief it is. Both habits took their toll on my health.
The current generation doesn't need to smoke anything either but they must chose and live with the consequences. I am inclined to discourage drug use including alcohol but in a free country all can decide for themselves.
God willing we can stay free.

Thank you, Zurf. Appreciate your support. I feel the same, of course.
