I can host pretty much any weekend if there is interest. If the "euro's" are going to be joining in, its typically better for them to have an earlier start. (Crete is 6 hours ahead of me I believe). Even if I am busy and have to run out, I can set it up and let it run. So Grah - Roger are you interested Saturday or Sunday? Name a time. Kap?

Big thanks to Jeff "Topdown" and all the other Floridian's for making us feel right at home. Doesn't get much better than that!

Hey - I'm from effin' New Yoyk waddya spect? Eva hea of a NY minute? That means all of my songs should last less than a minute!

No thanks necessary - It is absolutely my pleasure and the highlight of my year to gather together so many talented individuals that I consider friends. This year was better than last, lets make next year that much more so!

As an aside, in the early days after her stroke, when Patty was barely communicating, I would play and sing to her, and she actually sang along, somewhat. Doctors encouraged me to continue, and her vocal abilities are almost back to normal. She has memory "blackouts", stuff she just can't remember, but communicates as well as she dd pre-stroke.

Her doctor believes that the music sparked her memories, and aided in "unscrambling" her thought processes, which allowed for a much more extensive and rapid recovery than we thought was possible. Musical miracle, I'd say, considering my limited attributes as a musician.

Anyway, once again, sorry for the lag,
Randy

That is an amazing story Randy - The power of Music is incredible! Don't sweat "the lag", hang in there and give Patty a hug and a song from me.

An old neighbor of mine in Cape Coral, Fl (formally form Ohio) said that's how he chose where to live. He kept driving south until he found a Home Depot that didn't sell snow shovels smile

My pleasure to loan you the guitar - with your playing and singing, it has never sounded better. The strings are my go-to's =- John Pearse 80/20 lights. (And don't you DARE buy me any replacements!)

Thanks Wayne - but the atta boys go to you and the rest that take the time and expense to travel. All I do is spread the word, book a room and buy a few wings and adult beverages. It's the talented and friendly folks like you and Liz that make this happen!

Suffice it to say this was a 4 day weekend that I will never forget. So many talented musicians, So much beer, vodka & rum, So many old friends, new friends, and good friends. The only thing lacking was sleep.

Can't wait for next year.......

Had this banner made - my thought is to have all participants sign it year after year - it will be fun to look back on all who have attended. Paul will have to come back again so he can sign as an inaugural attendee!

Long term forecast is calling for lots of sunshine and highs near 80 - a perfect weekend! Beautiful here today - had happy hour tropical drinks and mussels  outside overlooking the water thinking about all my friends up north fighting the snow! 7 more days!
