Those are my picks also Tops,

I can't go along with Chargers for next week though. We will see how everything shakes out this weekend. Then I will put up my picks for next weekend.

Mark doesn't play with a pick and I think it contributes to his great tone.

Here's a song I wrote about our country and our need to spend money and where we may be headed.
Not a very good recording but I just did recording in one take and went with it, the harmonica is too loud and it isn't mixed but what the heck smile

Hey Russ,

I was just snoopin around your sight and come across Keep on Riding. I think you should really work on this. With some thought provoking lyrics this could really be a good one. It reminded me of a protest song. The first one that come to mind was James McMurtry's   "Can't Make it here Anymore".

Hey Thanks Geo,

I guess you think the same way I do. Seems sometimes people  catch heck if they are capoed in a different position than the original. I love to play Neil Young's songs but seems like alot of people want it to be a copy of the original, so I have kinda put alot of his songs on the backburner I use to do.

Here's one

Heya Zurf,

He has had alot of fun with them for about the last year. He can do alot better when I can keep his attention when we're practicing but when I turn on the camera he kinda goes astray. He is working on the harmonica also. I kinda let him go at his own
pace. I pushed my kids too hard and scared them away so I try to have more patience with Luke.

Howdy,
I have had two intellitouch tuners and neither one would pick up the Low E string. They both quit working and I have since changed to Crafter chromatic tuners and both of the ones I have pick up the Low E string every time. The intellitouch tuners are twice the money as the Crafter tuners, about $ 25.

Howdy,

The RocDoc  emailed and said I needed some new vids and would like something like "For What It's Worth"   I am not much of a rocker but I did a video on "Can't Find My Way Home" by Blind Faith. It's from the same era anyway. I have had trouble finding my way home, but not for awhile. This is an unplugged version smile

Sorry Russ,

But it will be the winner of the Alabama , Texas game for the Title. The Gators got blown out by Alabama a couple weeks ago and they don't have a remote chance. smile

I have played alot of guitars and my choice for a guitar under $500  is epiphone Masterbilt series. Solid tops, back and sides and very consistent in production. I have played many at our local store and they are impressive.

Deadstring,

I think your best bet will be to use a non powered mixer.  There are some available with 4 to 5 inputs for less than $ 50. I have been told trying to Y them doesn't work but I have never tried it. With a mixer you open yourself up to more options for the future. If you get a backup singer you will have an extra input for another mic for guitar too. Just depends on if your amp has enuff power to handle the load.

Good for you Cam,

Just having someone's support you is huge. I think most every musician feels very vulnerable at times and having someone's support along the way is great. 6 months of lessons is a long time .

I can see it now,

" They're gonna put me in the Movies, They're gonna make a big Star out of Me"  smile

Jimbobs,

The tuning, you see is for other instruments such as mandolin or banjo etc. If you click on mandolin under the tuning button you will see what tuning to have your mandolin in to play the song as it is presented.

I thought I had visited about every music site but I found this one today. It has a nice selection of Christmas songs and a Great selection of Country Gospel and alot of old country that isn't so easy to find.

Chords are listed with the lyrics.
