Just picked up a Takamine 340S? (Lawsuit Era) for $150.00 at a pawn shop in Worcester, Mass. Except for a few scratches it is in nice shape. I will string it later and see how it sounds. Totally unplanned. I went to New Hampshire and stopped at the pawn shop on my way home. I don`t think they realized what they were selling. They are usually way overpriced.

Cleaned it up. Found a few scratches and dings. Put some .10 flat wounds on it. Now it plays and sounds sweet. Fortunately for me, Gabrielle (the trout) doesen`t care for flat wounds too much. I use them all the time now on my electrics. Not to keep them away from her. I just prefer them. She "adopted" the Fender Duo Sonic that I restored 2 years ago.

Scored a Gretsch Electromatic at a pawn shop in Webster, Mass for 200.00. No scratches or dings. A little clean up and some new strings are due. Once again, picture is on FB. Any help getting it here would be great.

Thank you for posting the pictures Amy. I actually wanted (maybe should have) bought a new truck. I wanted this more. Instead, I will sink some money on my old one and keep it going for a while longer. After playing it. I have no regrets or buyers remorse. It is everything it is built up to be. I just hate the reason that I was able to get it. For what it`s worth. After noodling around on it for a while, the first song I played on it was "Times Like These" by Dan Fogelberg. Not the lead parts. Just the song. I`m not that good.

5 acoustics, 7 electrics. A 6 srting banjo and a lap steel. Those are the playable ones. $-5 that are good for wall hangings or planters or oars. They add up fast. Still waiting for the White Falcon. Wont even get into amps.

I just ordered my dream guitar yesterday. A Gretsch White Falcon. My wife used to always say "If I could afford it, I would buy you one". Well, for awful reasons I can afford it. This is the only chance I will have to do this. This was also the same wife that made me buy my 59 Gibson LG 2. It was the only chance I had to get it. It feels like I am buying it with blood money. But I also feel that I deserve to get a new toy for myself after all my family and I have gone through the past year. It may sound bad, but it is what it is.

This is Joey. Thank you Zurf for respecting my privacy. What happened is that my wife passed away on Friday. She battled her cancer for 9 years and lived 3 months past the time she was given. Her obituary is on my facebook page. PLEASE: Don`t feel bad for me. Feel good that I had almost 30 great years with her.

Duplicolor. Available at any auto parts store. Easy to work with. Show pictures from beginning to end if you can. When I did a project,I got lots of help from other members here.

I know this is the electric section, but I think of Willie Nelson`s 1969 Martin nylon string. It looks awful. Has a big hole on the top and he always plays it. Or Buck Owens red white and blue Harmony. Electrics-The late Stevie Ray Vaughn`s Strats. Naturally worn out. Not bought that way
