Hi MKM, It's a nice area of town I'm in which is pretty cool. Google will be photographing every street in the world eventually and there is bound to be some nose picking or whatever somewhere. lol  I'm just glad I got off easy. We have a population of 350,000 and they have a street view picture of every street and house in town.
That must have taken a ton of work to do it all.

Bwaaaaa...maybe your house is next.

Hi Wayne,
I'm sure your Grandfather "Perfecto" would think what you have done is perfecto. He'd be real proud. big_smile
As for adding to this, I think a female harmony is the ticket. I'd bring the harp in with more volume and a softer violin as a filler. Other than that you nailed it with your vox and playing.

Well Done, I'm looking forwards to hearing this and seeing the pics when it's complete.

Kudos big_smile

Hi marcalan,

Interesting concept for a song. Nobody really thinks about what it takes to build skyscrapers. I imagine if you count the numbers since their inception worldwide it would be a big number.

I get a Gordon Lightfoot feel to this and that's a good thing.
Looking forwards to hearing it recorded. big_smile

Google has mapped London Ont. from the ground. A lot of people are upset about it cause they say it's an invasion of privacy. I'm Ok with it cause I didn't get caught on my back deck drinking a beer in my gauchies and picking my nose. lol With this you can zoom in for a high resolution picture.
If your not sure how it works and you want to see my home, my S10 truck and my back deck, go to goggle maps (At the top of Google home page) and type in 454 admiral drive london ontario. click on the pin to get the street view. From there you can manipulate and travel the street to see the sights.
Check your own address to see if they caught you with your pants down. ( No Pun Intended lol). Hopefully nothing incriminating will show up. There was a lot of people in downtown London that are in it and are real upset. I can see their point but then again it's just a picture with out a name.
It doesn't bother me that I gave my address here cause I can't see how it can be of harm.

Any other thoughts on this?
Enjoy the tour. big_smile

Hi Phill big_smile

Just had a listen to your latest composition/collaboration and I gotta give you another two thumbs up in writing, composing and of course your choice of collaborators. big_smile
This piece has an epic feel to it with some really nice build ups drawing me into what I would hear next.  Russ's choice of guitar tone I thought fit perfectly along with his playing.
If I had a complaint (and it's me, me thinks) I would love to see the lyrics as I just listened to it and for the life of me I can't remember one line. lol I also have to check my computer levels cause the base tones (I think) came across really strong, which explains a lot about my set up.
All in all...Kudos to both you and Russ and the "POWER OF CHORDIE"
cause we wouldn't hear this if it wasn't for Chordie.

Congrats from Canada Zurf
Geocaching sounds like it would be a blast along with the time capsule. Your just about halfway to a fiftieth for you and the missus, or maybe 10 or 20 for the kids.
Either way it's a once in a lifetime project and by the sounds of it, you have the family for it.
Very Cool big_smile

Welcome to Chordie AveryDanger, big_smile
I'm green at writing myself but I have found that as posted by Old Doll, upyerkilt and daddycool, when writing lyrics happens, it just happens. If your stuck on a chorus or verse log it, then somehow record the melody so you won't forget it (unless you have a very good memory lol ) The right words will come to you when the time is right. If you force it, the song will suffer. Let the emotion of the song dictate the lyric, not the motion of getting it done in a hurry.

Hope that helps you big_smile

Hi Linusguitar,
You write some very good songs. big_smile I'm the same way when it comes to recording. I hear it but can't make it sound like I hear it. Good to read that you have the opportunity to jam with friends and record. big_smile
You should look in the recording section as there are folks there that are into collabs when they're not busy.
Looking forwards to hearing a recording. big_smile

I have three words Phill,

Wow and Wow. big_smile

This is an excellent composition from start to finish. I really love the base line. big_smile This has a Moody Blues feel to it and that is a very good thing.
5 thumbs up.
You do good work my friend. big_smile
It's been awhile since I've been online and visited your site...I see you have been busy writing. I'll be back to hear more as I'm just reacquainting myself with my puter.
By the By... I met a couple from Wales that have been in Canada for two years. They are real nice folks and it was a real pleasure. They are from Ponty Pridd??? and they also lived in Penafth??? near Cardiff.
I'm reading this off the note they gave me,their names are Teish? and Sahirn? It's hard to read it but the upshoot was they are a cool couple and I said I would say BOO to you, so from my new friends.....BOO. big_smile
Let me know if you know the area.

Good One Daddy,
I can hear Sergio Leone music hauntingly played in the background as Wyatt's taking his man down. They should have done a Clint Eastwood /Wyatt Earp vs the old west movie, campy but it would have been fun. big_smile
