Dragging up this old thread to share the sad news that Gary passed away yesterday. They went through months and months of testing at some of the best hospitals in the world and never could figure out what was happening. As treatment options got more and more risky and the outlook less and less favorable, my sister called in hospice care a few months ago. Gary left peacefully with his family at his bedside.

He was a young man with a young family. Just goes to show you - appreciate every day and live life with all ya got. RIP Gary, you were a good 'un.

I have a shirt that says " go on....buy it..... you can always get another wife "   LOL

I've had a couple of wives and own 6 or 8 guitars. Guitars are a hell of a lot cheaper... trust me!

Wrote a check for just under $4K yesterday. I guess I should feel lucky to have a job and be able to contribute to those that won't.

Welcome UJB (great name BTW) - sounds to me like you will fit right in here. Players of all skill levels are welcome here and most of us - even the core group- are far from professionals. Some are very talented to be sure, but very few are tru professional musicians. I'm thinking of hosting a skype jam next weekend. Keep an eye out for the post and join in if you can!

I hear ya dino - and that was my original thought when my guitar went missing. However, after the police interviewed the driver - and I am a frequent customer - he swore that he remembered dropping the package at my doorstep. He wasn't some part time seasonal driver, has been working there for years. He still asks me to this day if my guitar ever showed up.
