That`s the one. Can`t wait to get it. I played an Ibanez doubleneck once. It was too expensive.

It is being delivered. It isn`t a brand name. Probably not the greatest quality. It is a doublenck though. A BADAXX 6 - 12 string doublenck. Definitely a copy of the Gibson model. Only $250.00 on Amazon. I have no idea how it will play or sound.  I think I have to think twice before buying any more. Either that or people shouldn`t sell these so cheap. Pictures will be on Facebook when it comes.

After doing some research. The Harmony is a 1971 - 72. Made in Korea. The Sigma may be from 1982. With either a mahogany  or maple body. The Harmony, is a Harmony. Definitely in good shape compared to all the others I had. (4) All were unplayable. This one plays fine. Either way, I think I made a good score. Especially for the Sigma.

Picked up 2 more today for $150.00 A Sigma DM - 3M and a Harmony acoustic. Both play well. The Sigma plays great.  Now I hit the 20 mark. Got these at a yard sale in Spencer, Mass. He had more, but I had to have some self control. Not much. Just some. Pictures on Facebook. If someone can post them, that would be great.  One thing.  My wife never got mad when I brought home a new guitar. She always said that she loved the look on my face when I got a new guitar. Like a kid with a new toy.

Truthfully. I played it on my deck yesterday. I didn`t "Bond" with it. I will try again another time. I ended up going back to my old Gibson. The Takamine is a great guitar. It just didn`t make me warm up to it.

I have to quote myself here. Had a setup done at Union Music. It plays and sounds great now. The action is a bit high up the neck, but I hardly go that far up anyways. It cleaned up nice and it is loud. I have been using it since. The bond is definitely there now. The dreadnought body didn`t take any getting used to. I usually play Folk or Parlor size. Definitely worth the money. Total investment $215.00. I think I made out OK.

I`m glad that I didn`t see it. You know what I would have done.  Hint #19.

Pawn shop, JJJ? I ask, because about 10 years ago, I think, Fender put out an accoustic guitar with a light blue beach motif on it. ANyone remember the model number? I don't. There were only about 500 produced and I almost bought it at 380.00, but thought better of it. It was just the "uniqueness" of it, I think. I knew I'd get tired of looking at that thing and as a result wouldn't play it.

I know: "What's that got to do with my NGD, Bill?", you're asking?

Not a thing except that's why I frequent pawnshops: old cymbals still playable and cheap guitars which just happen to be classics. I also have a 15 watt Frontman, and I love it.

Bill

Not a pawn shop. An antique shop in Lunenberg, Mass. There was also a Johnson acoustic. A First Act and Jay Turser electric.

Wish I could. It is a bit too far to drive. Hope it goes well though.

Stay Away. The one I bought has 2 less frets than the one in the video. Still a waste of money. The one in the video has 2 more frets to waste your money on.  If you want to get an idea of how it is, put a capo on the 7th fret. Or in my case, the 5th fret. Untune the guitar. It doesent matter how, just untune it. Play between the capo and the nut. There is the pocket guitar. Whoever came up with this idea belongs in the same category as whoever invented the unpoppable bubble wrap. Actually, the one in the video doesen`t come with the velour case. At least I got a fuzzy velour bag and 2 picks for $15.00. Make that $30.00. Gabrielle got a fuzzy velour bag and 2 picks also.

JJJ I have some real good air guitars for sale, visit my air site too see the prices. ( I could not help tease you a bit jjj). You can go too my air website in my avitar and click on it.

Do they come in a velour case?? With 2 picks??

Has anyone seen the pocket guitar advertised on Facebook???  $15.00. I bought 2 of them. One for me. One for the trout. What you get is 4 frets and 6 strings in a plastic sliding case. About the size of a TV remote. Opens up to twice the size. If you already know chords, it is totally a waste of time and money. It does come in a nice velour case and has 2 picks.  It just sits collecting dust. It looked so cool in the ad and the video.  If the temptation to buy one sets in, don`t give in. Or else you may end up writing a post like this. Definitely doesen`t count as NGD.  Think of this as a Consumer Reports article for guitarists

You got me beat.

Work in progress. Just bought a set of Ping Tuners. Ordered a Gretsch Tailpiece and a Demont Ebony Bridge. Total investment so far---$120.00.  Once it is put together, I will worry about the pickups. One works, one is weak. It may need just a cleaning. The nut is way too high.  It will definitely need to be filed down.I won`t touch the paint. The  "Previously Loved" look is the way I want to keep it.

Actually, I was out on a date when I found it. Maybe going out again this weekend. I think she has the idea that I like guitars.

It doesn't look like a very good guitar - in fact, you probably got ripped off, man!

Tell you what - I'll help you out and take it off your hands for $60 - you'll recoup your loss, you'll have one less guitar, and I will have done my part by being a Good Samaritan.

Whaddaya say?

.

If I got ripped off, I got ripped off. It has happened before. It ends up in the ornament pile. I have those too. I don`t count those in the amount of guitars I have. There must be something there.

I am probably going to hit some flea markets and antique shops this weekend. I am wondering what i end up with this time.

Dino. No I havent. I put it aside for now. I plugged it in. One pickup is weak.  5 of the tuners are seized.  It will need a bridge.  (maybe). The spring is missing on the whammy. The fretboard is solid rosewood. Not veneer. Some of the binding is missing on the neck. That is how I can tell. The ideas are running through my head though. Grover or Ping tuners. Lawrence or Seymour Duncan pickups. New tailpiece. Of course a set of strings. Hoping to end up with a real sleeper when it is done.

Right place. Right time. The lucky streak will end soon. Until then, I am going with the flow.

Thank You Roger.

3 guitars in 3 weeks. This time it is a Japanese hollow body electric from the 60s. It may be a Teisco. It may not. Picked it up for $50.00. It needs a lot of work. Picked it at an antique store in Putnam, Conn. What some people see as junk, I see a diamond in the rough.

Of course you need more than one. Different reasons. Different tunings. The color of your clothes that day. You may not want to carry one to another room, so there will be one waiting for you in that room. Because Tuesday is the 3rd day of the week. And of course because there`s no bones in ice cream. There are many reasons to have more than one. Use your imagination.

Thank You for posting the picture. It cleaned up nice and a new set of strings brought it back to life. After looking at the bracing,it was built in 1977   YES-- I did say "This is the last one, really" earlier this year. I must have lied. Am I the only one that has said that??Ha Ha.
