Hi hardydog. I'd say to start learning scales, thats what is helping me get over the plateau. I'm still learning and working on them.

The color of my favorite rock crawler/hill climbing jeep!  It's cold, freezing rain up here on the mountain today, so I will have lots of guitar time.

I have to agree with Baldguitardude. I don't see that it would make it easier to play. If you do decide to go through the process of changing the nut and bridge let us know how it works out for you.

Speaking of strings, I'll be putting a new set on my Alvarez today, it will give me a chance to use the new snark tuner Santa brought me.

I've been GASin for a double neck electric guitar in a 6 string/12 string configuration. I've been thinkin about building from a kit, there are some really nice kits on the market and I do need a project now that I'm retired (gotta do something to keep my mind and hands busy).

Thanks deadstring, I was able to access my posts through another browser, thats how I was able to find my original post from july. Still can't get to my posts using my usual browser though. It is a bit odd that someone (erum) would copy one of my posts word for word. Could this be a spammer trying to find another was in? or am I worried for nothing?

This morning I noticed a post in the guitars and accessories section from "erum". It seemed to be a word for word repost of something I had written a while back (2013-07-16). When I tried to check on all posts I had made I found nothing, no posts at all.  Am I going bonkers or do we really have a problem?

I just print songs out on paper (yes, real paper), put em in clear plastic sleeves and keep them in three ring binders. ya can't get any less technical than that.

Welcome zeppo. Lots of great people here and all are willing to share their wisdom. Try adjusting your screen size, press and hold the control key and press the minus (-) or plus (+) key. Hope this helps.

Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving. I've got the turkey in the oven and deer steaks are on the way courtesy of my son-inlaw.

Good morning larva. You might want to visit StringsandBeyond.com. They have some nice selections to choose from, I get most of my stuff from them as I don't get off the mountain unless I have to. I like to use medium to heavy picks, thin picks seem to give that slapping sound for me.

I'm thinking she is gonna love it!

Praying for ya Nela.  A positive attitude and a guitar can carry you through hard times.

Awesome!

She is a pretty one for sure. Happy NGD!
