Roger has a new toy:
I think you have intentions of opening a used guitar and gear shop, or maybe you intend moving into a barn to house everything
Nice looking piece of kit.
Roger
A couple of weeks ago Per said it would be a couple of months to get sorted so I guess about 6 weeks away now. Fingers crossed!!
Roger
P.S. Zengalileo. I have deleted your duplicate question in About Chordie that has been answered here.
Welcome to Chordie Patti.
I am really looking forward to hearing this song now, either as a solo or a duet with 'little bro'
Roger
Nice looking little amp! How about a recording so we can hear it in action; if you look real hard I am sure you can find a guitar you can put though it.
Roger
Chordie is a search engine and sorts out songs that are posted on the Internet elsewhere, so if the person who original put the song up attributed it to a particular artiste hen that is where it will be shown.
It is always a good idea to find the names of different artistes that have recorded a song and check under their names too.
Roger
With a nylon strung classical guitar I normally leave them tuned to F# or F overnight a couple of times to take the stretch out of them.
Roger
Never tried one but looks like fun. Good buy!
Roger
I was wondering too; I have just checked, and he has not posted since January nor visited since March, so I have sent him an e-mail.
Roger
Absolutely fantastic news to start my weekend.
Here is a song from one of my students, Raquel, for you to learn and sing to Dondra

Good suggestions in here! I think July's song should be a good ole sing along song! Something everyone knows, is easy to play, and fun to sing! After all, summer's on the way (in most areas), and it's the season for campfires and sing along songs. Well, that's just my 2 cents of course.
Like "Knocking on Heaven's Door"? or
"Blowing in the Wind"? or maybe
"Country Roads"?
Roger
Edit to add: After writing this I really fancy doing "Knocking on Heaven's Door"
The following message has been submitted:
Howdy ... Rick here (Tenement Funster) with a suggestion. Our member Badeye has been faithfully providing the Friday Blues Fix for almost 7 years, and I'm wondering if a special member title might be conferred upon him to recognize that? One suggestion might be "The Blues Fixer" or something a bit more creative. Thanks for the consideration!
An excellent suggestion and one that has now been fulfilled.
Roger
I have just checked his profile and found this:

So he is around even if he has not posted anything lately. Perhaps you should drop him a line Jeff and see if he can get it back to you.
Roger
Well done Jan, I don't think I would have noticed the vocal error if you had not mentioned it. I just might try a uke version on a song sometime.
Roger
As this has been brought up elsewhere I will bring the original thread to the fore.
Roger
After putting my own up I have had a listen at everyone else's version. Well done to all of you, there are some great covers there and hoping for some more before the end of the month.
Roger
OK Guys and Gals.
I had never heard this song until today but in the spirit of things I listened to it half a dozen times and put this together. As per usual drums and bass are courtesy of Band-in-a-Box and, as for the three guitars and vocals, I take the blame for.

Roger
Also, the paragraph under the link to this page has a typo - there are 3 gs in the word 'suggestions.'
Thank you. Nobody else had noticed that and I have now corrected it.
Roger
OK Jim,
Here is my take on your song, recorded before listening to your recording, so it is my interpretation just using the lyrics and chords. Drum, bass and cello courtesy of Band-in-a-Box; the rhythm guitar, fingerpicked guitar and vocals I take the blame for .

Roger
I really like this song Jim, a litle different to how I imagined it after I heard the recording, but great lyrics and chord progression. Well done Sir!!
Roger
It is wonderful to have a talented New Zealand, Wahine of Waiata on chordie as a moderator well done Jandle . Wahine is a Maori word for lady and Waiata (why art ah ) is the Maori word for song.
So are you suggesting something like: Waiata Wahine Moderator?
Roger
The Middle Earth Moderator.
Moderator from the Shire.
The One Ring Moderator.
Personal Moderator to Gandalf.
Galadriel's Moderator.
I am not really a L.O.T.R nut (well yes I am )
Roger
OK I have just listened to everyone else's versions and, out of the now four versions here, I put mine at 27th......
Jan. Wow! It works great with the uke and you have a smashing voice.
Joe. Brill! Great to hear a 'bluesy' version of this song, it works well.
Mojo. Super! Another different take on this song and you did a great job with it.
I enjoyed listening to all three of these versions. Well done to all of you.
Roger
This is a song I do not know very well so I have listened to the original a few times and 'had a go'. The drum and bass are courtesy of Band-in-a-Box but the guitars are me:

Now I will listen to everyone else's versions (and probably wish I had not put mine up).
Roger
shouldn't there be a title to go along with the new position????? just plain moderator will never do. of course Jan should have no say so what so ever in this . just saying
The one problem with your idea is that a Moderator is able to change his/her own title. Mind you there is nothing to stop you suggesting one for her, but she has the power to accept or decline.
