Come on, any more entries for this month?  I can`t join in this month as I have put my back out in the last few days, so no strumming for me presently.

She certainly is ~different/unusual/strange~ is how she came across to me watching this particular one easybeat.  I found it a bit disturbing to be honest.  I went and checked out a few of her other videos and found them unusual as well.  Whilst her style is very original, her voice is great, she is not really my cup of tea musically.  All the songs I watched her doing, I found quite melancholy and very unusual, almost creepy in a way.  But that is probably just me, on reading comments from other people on her video`s,
some people obviously like her style.

Nicely performed Jeff and I like the lyrics.  I am a sleepy head in the morning still, so I can totally relate to it.  I thought I would have grown out of it by now but nope lol.

Far out, now that is memory lane.  I remember going to see them live at the Hamilton Founders theatre back in the day.  Their costumes were a hardcase and how they used to move on stage.  I remember those costumes well lol.  Great music and a crazy faze lol

easybeat, I enjoyed listening to that, also a good foot tapping song, a great beat and good message.  I miss getting those lovely old handwritten letters, which took time to write, time to post and were lovely to hold, read through and keep if you so desired.  Ahhhh the good old days.

neophytte, that was very enjoyable listening and watching you both play.  The smiles said it all at the end, a good foot tapping effort by you both smile     I have my Fathers auto harp, but I haven't learnt where all the chord buttons are yet, so have to keep stopping to look down at them which kind of ruins it lol but I guess it`s just another practice, practice, practice thing if you want to get any good at it.

I like it!!! Awesome TIG, I look forward to hearing this one.  Some really good lines in there.

That was a great song, used to dance along to that at parties.  I never knew the lead singer was from Split Enz, some new I learned!  Sang along to it, still a great song.
TIGLJK, I already brought the book from Brian, he did an awesome job of it for sure.

Oh wow, that was amazing and what an honor for Neil Finn to have meet and played with not only a talented musician but hero.  Thanks for sharing, Brian, it was very touching to watch.

neophytte, good to see you performing your song live and glad you added the final verse.  I did however struggle to hear the lyrics of the final verse and even used the transcript which wasn't much help for the last verse lol.  If you get the chance, write the words of the last verse down on here so I can have another listen.  I liked the subtle changes you made in the song, the clicking of fingers, the end outro was good on guitar, slightly different to the original outro, which all added to it.  The only other comment was it was harder to hear overall, no doubt being live makes it harder with the recording side of things, whereas the first version you did for us last month, it was quite easy to hear the lyrics.  Anyway, a fun song, I like it, well done.

Any suggestions from anyone?

here are some from me:

Deliliah - Tom Jones
Bad Bad Leroy Brown -Jim Croce
Bobby McGee (Baton Roughe) - Kris Kristofferson
City of New Orleans - Steve Goodman

I remember this song but the first time I have seen this video.  I never knew Bruno was part of the band, I really only knew him as an actor.  Cool easybeat, you're showing us some history here.

TIGLJK, that Rock n Roll song wasn't a failure at all, I thought it was well written.

TIGLJK,  I could totally visualize that scene.   I would love to hear you play this or anyone else on here with an electric guitar to hear what it sounds like.   Nice one Jim.

Oh now that's a great song, I used to love that song, haven't heard it in forever.   And I am ashamed to say I didn't know they were a Kiwi band.

TIGLJK, thanks for having a listen and comments smile   Sadly, I haven't had time to write any songs, it's been hard enough getting time to record covers.   Hoping to do more now the painting is finished, though more painting awaits in the future.  Maybe you could write a parody suitable for me to attempt?  You're the man with the writing skills smile

neophytte and easybeat, thanks both of you for taking time to have a listen and your comments as well smile

Wow very low on suggestions this time around sadly.

Ok I have entered 3 quick recorded songs on soundcloud for this months entries.  A bit rushed and last minute but at least something big_smile
