If my memory serves me correct, Jeff (Topdown) had one when I was at Chordiestock, but it was a while ago and I may be mistaken. If he does not respond here drop him a line, but I agree with the others, you need to play one and get your own feelings for one.

Roger

He does! His guitar is the reason I thought I wanted one. Sounds and feels great.  But then again when I played it I couldn’t see the price tag. smile

The model I have my eye on is $1800.00.  Just the right size. The others were too big or too small.  Who knows, I may change my mind. I`m not paying out of pocket, I use the money from selling guitars to pay for it. So it comes out to 1/2 - 3/4 of the price.

I`m working towards a Rainsong Carbon Fiber acoustic. Does anyone have one?? They`re not cheap and I`m wondering how they are. These are all carbon fiber. There are cheaper ones with a wood neck.  I want full carbon fiber. Supposed to be almost indestructible. Almost.

My 1960s Danelectro Silvertone Amp In Case is now gone. It was hard to do. I bought it in 1985. Two weeks after I met my wife. I didn`t just sell it. I didn`t even sell it. I gave it to the guy that sold it to me. With the condition that he doesn`t sell it.  He had sellers regret after selling it. He was the owner of the music store I took lessons at. It had more sentimental value rather than monetary value. He was always good to me. Now I can return the favour. I didn`t care about the money. I couldn`t stand the thought of it changing hands on eBay with someone with dollar signs in their head.  This way, I know it won`t be going anywhere. I`m just glad that it`s in the hands of someone that appreciates what it is. The fact that he is the previous owner makes it better. At least it will be played instead of sitting in my house. Call me nuts. It`s also my way of letting go.

So sorry for your loss Derek. My condolences.

How do I see them?? Compensation. For me, they are nothing but a series of bad decisions I made during a bad time. I just put 3 more on consignment this afternoon. .

Nice collection. I would love to get down to that many. I see mine in a different light than you do.

Thanks - every one of them is a different story - as I was unpacking them, so many memories come flooding back; like the silver G707 in the front (extreme right), that I played at a gig in Fremantle and they had no stairs to the stage, so as I hoisted myself up, guitar in hand, I split the groin of my black trousers .... look back and laugh.

I'm curious about how you see yours?

Cheers

Richard

Cheers

Richard

I`m actually down to 28 now. It gets addictive. Now I won`t buy anymore until I sell enough to pay for another one. One for sale is a Danelectro 12 String for $350.00.

Only funny cuz we know her and have seen that short leash she keeps on JJJ. What a great lady.

That is true about the short leash. She also knows that me and too much time on my hands isn`t always the greatest combination. Her biggest problem with me is not opening up about certain matters. Because of her I have stopped some bad "Recreational Habits". She has seen a lot more than you have seen on Facebook. None of it good.

I haven`t been participating too much lately. I`ve just had bigger fish to fry. Dealing with other things. As much as a lot of people know about me, I am also extremely private in a lot of other things. Even Chris has a problem with that sometimes.
