Thanks for the comments, much appreciated.
And, no Arkady, I hav'nt recorded it yet. My music guru died year before last, he was going to add the backing tracks, but did'nt get to finish it.

Hi Folks,
Thanks for the solicitude, the problem is probably mine.
I did the setup for the voodoo as it stated, but when I pasted the file into the quick post, it vanished.
I tried twice, Houdini vanquished me....DAMN!!!.
So, I did a copy of the original word format, and pasted it direct.
The ??? are transpositions of ---. This song has been copied from its original ATARI format, hence the --- to ???.
""heres anuver wun" copied across perfectly. Looks good too.
Wot really confuses me is that I re-typed the song into a separate file. There don't appear to be any foulups, yet (voodoo) swallowed it up. My opening text blurb came across OK, but NO song.
???????????????
Regards & cheers
John

[G]The phone rang once, the phone rang twice

I was sitting here, feeling kind of nice

[C]Thinking of good times, with an old friend of [G]mine

When he answered the phone, he said “how,s things

are you still into music, do you still sing?â€

His [C]voice bought me back, to times we’d had [G]before

I was [D]thinking of you, were you thinking of me

Remembering the times, that used to be

I’m [C]glad you called, it’s good to see you again

Friendships come, and friendships go

And, I guess, it’s good to know

[C]Some will ever, [G]stand, the test of[D]time[D7]

A [G]knock on the door, half past eight

And, I thought, that’s rather late

Got [C]up to open it, wondered who I’d [G]see

I thought I’d come around to see

[C]visit a while, with an old friend of[G]mine

[G]A letter arrived, the address I knew

It took me back, a year or two

A little [C]longer, to put a face, to the [G]name

The years rolled away, I remembered

Times we’d spent, friends together

Felt [C]good he’d remembered me, after all that [G]time

Hello from New Zealand, Marcalan.
I play banjo, not very often, but I do.
It's a five string banjo tuned G-C-G-B-D, with a sliding capo on the fifth treble string.
It gets used in our skiffle group.
And, I use a capo....
And.....I can't play Dueling Banjos, I hav,nt really tried to.
Regards & cheers
