Every chord is some going in one year or do you mean all of the basic open chords.

Can you play and remember all of the chords on this chord chart - http://www.chordie.com/chords.php

Or check this out - http://www.harmony-central.com/Guitar/chord-chart.pdf

This is the most ridiculous reply to a question I have read on chordie.
You have a lot to learn about humans.
We are all different with different ways of talking, thinking and living and  and and  and wait for it…………………..playing the guitar, as well as other instruments. So for you to reply like that is very wrong indeed and I hope no one listens to you.

Cheating you say if you use a capo? So eric clapton cheats? David gilmour? Pete townshend? I have even seen angus young playing an acoustic with a capo on. Are all these guitarists not professional enough for you?
As has already been said the capo is used for various reasons as well as maybe your point of view on it.
So before you get help up onto that big pedestal that you managed to climb up and look down upon the mere cheats of society and tell them whats what instead of just giving a helping hand on your own advice, think first. I am sure your parents must have taught you how to do that?

Strong reply pal but in essence quite accurate.

Class

If I'm playing a song using a mixture of open and barre chords on my acoustic I use a short barre with my thumb fretting E & A and don't have any problem having all string ringing clearly.

If I'm playing a song using all barre chords I tend to use the full barre with thumb on the back of the neck. No problem.

Anything electric and distorted I use power chords. Easy

This is all getting a bit heavy.
I was put off playing guitar years ago because of strict technique.
My best guitar teacher taught me a few different ways to play barre chords and I'm pleased he did.
Enjoy playing the guitar. Don't make it a chore.

Most songs can be played with a capo.

All the capo does is change the key.

Search for a song on this web site and if the required chords are displayed in a blue font then it is very easy to transpose to another key.

On the right hand side of the page is a box called TRANSPOSE CHORDS.

Click on this and choose how many semi tones you want to shift the key by and it'll change the chords in the song automatically.

Transpose until you find a key that is easier for you to play in.

Most songs can be played with a capo.

Great reply from petermiss. That's what it's all about.

One thing I'd suggest is looking on YouTube.com

There are a lot of guitarists posting lots of song covers. They all have different styles and some make a song sound good, others not so good.

Browse through and you'll be able to pick up lots of good tips to enhance your playing.

Okay I have been playing electric guitar for a few months and my strings are higher than normal.I'e gone to a music store to get them fixed but the guy said he couldnt replace the thing were the strings go into.So now,I play but my strings are 3 millimeters to high. and it causes the guitar to make a buzzing sound except when i use my distortion pedal.

3mm higher than normal is hugely too high.
I'm a bit confused as to how this causes the buzz though.
Buzzing is usually caused by the action being too low.
You definitely need to see a competent guitar tech.

I agree 100%, but IF I download songs, I did pay a contribution for winmx and they were under construction, and so I got the two because they gave me a login and a pass word too.
I would not be happy if I write a song, and that they take my song as public propriety.
BUT: concerning bootlegs, that's different.
Since I use only the 2 I mentioned, there is no problem for me. (in Napster and audiogalaxy time, agree, but that's history).
No dear friend, my question was not correct. I asked the songs you wrote here, but in fact I wanted to know where the songs you "mentioned" can be found, here, like youtube or myspace, because there is definitely a difference between the USA and Europe, like songs, groups, and I was interested (still am) how these songs, like Grateful Dead, Marshall Tucker, groups I know they exist, but I can't follow because I am "ignorant", and I see often similar answers, when people, "brandnew chordians" ask songs to start to play with their guitar.
Do you agree with me on this: I love to play-along, and the "speed" to detect the chords is quit fast in my case, and I consider that point as a kind of reference to see, and to evaluate (my) skill?

I would definitely try YouTube Doc and as you're not downloading you're not hurting anyone.

I would recommend trying a Cort G series guitar which has two single coil pickups + a twin coil (humbucker) at the bridge which also has a coil tap to convert the humbucker to a single coil (as on a Strat).

Check out the reviews at Harmony Central - http://reviews.harmony-central.com/revi … brand/Cort

The G250 has a good review at - http://www.regentguitars.co.uk/richards-choice-g250.htm

Detman101, this is just a link to a review, I'm not suggesting a trip to the UK wink

I've just bought a Spider III 75w and it's absolutely awesome.

When you're going to invest big money you've got to try as many guitars as you can.
I love my Taylor 314ce but I also love my Yamaha APX9C.
Try before you buy and don't limit yourself to Martin or Taylor if you want a guitar for life.

Place a finger on fret 5 and a finger on fret 3. Play the string then lift the fret 5 finger off allowing the string to ring on fret 3 then slide the fret 3 finger down to fret 2. When you play the pull off don't just lift it, give it a little flick and it will ring better.

Place a finger on fret 2. Play the string and pull off, as above, to the open string.

3p0 is similar to 2p0

If you can afford it buy a Taylor but before you do try a top end Yamaha APX.
Tanglewood are also great guitars for the price.

Just search through Chordie, there's thousands of songs with lyrics and chords.

Just choose a song you like and try it. If you don't recognize the sound of the song when you try playing just leave it and move on to the next one.

There are lots of great tabs on Chordie but also a lot of bad ones. Just keep trying.

Try playing some Cold Play, Crowded House or Verve. Some of the songs are not difficult to play and with a bit of practice sound really impressive.

Push yourself and learn to smoothly change as many chords as you can, then you'll find that most songs are beginners songs.

One of my more reasonably priced guitars is a Tanglewood T145 12 string which is fantastic. Well made, great sound, easy action. Can't imagine the 6 string would be any different.

My son has a Ibanez Talman which is a small bodied electro acoustic. This guitar is awesome for it's size. It plays beautifully. Plugged in it beats most electro acoustics I've played, apart from my Taylor.

Any of the guitars mentioned by the other chaps are well worth a look at.

You could also try Simon & Patrick or as Zurf mentions, a low end Taylor (same great sound and playability but without the expensive glitz)

You really have to play the guitar for a while before you choose.

Brown Sugar by the Stones is always a good one,
Jumping Jack Flash - Stones
Jean Jeanie - Bowie
Squeeze Box - The Who
Hot Love - T-Rex
Back in the USSR - Beatles

There're loads
