the callouses is something you really need if you want to play, i remember at first how my fingertops glowd red and where really painfull, but now even with steel strings its fine, and nobody noticed my callouses, you cant see them, almost cant feel them (only your self ofcourse wink) so dont worry and keep going

hi lexibabe,

im playing guitar for 6 months now so im still verry verry new at it, and i didnt take any lessons mmore than reading en watching videos on the net,
i can now play a lot ( for me its a lot) of chords, a few songs that sound decent and a couple of diferent rythyms, it takes time and pacience to do it on you´re own but you can do it.

i really started to advance when i found chordie and trayd to play some songs i know, there are a lot that have only a few chords and are a lot a fun.

so if you cant take lessons, dont worry, you can do it

i also think the first one is the best choise, but is the price right? or should i think about buying one on the net?
i´ve been surfing on google and seen cheaper capos then what the owner of the shop showd me,
like badeye said :12.95 and works well

i went to the music instrument store a few day´s ago
and askt what a capo for a acoustic electric guitar could cost me,
the owner show´d me 2 different capo´s

this one is the one i´ve seen every body uses http://www.playrecord.net/images/KG6B.jpg

and this one that i think is´nt worth much (seems it will break with only watching it) http://www.playrecord.net/guitar-access … 30543.html

the price is 25 euros ( i live in spain) for the first one and 15 for the second,

i think it´s very expensive for such a little peace of metal to put on the guitar,
so the question is, what should it cost me and wicht one is the best choise...

thanks for the help, the site has a lot of information,

searching by my self i found this:

Here it is, the holy grail of beginning strumming, the Folk Strum Pattern:

D D U U D U

1 + 2 + 3 + 4 +

The other patterns in these exercises were merely warm-ups. The Folk Strum Pattern, on the other hand, is used in a ton of songs, so keep working on it until you can play it in your sleep. Try it with Bob Dylan’s “Blowin’ in the Wind,” Buffalo Springfield’s “For What It’s Worth,” or if you want something less folksy, how about Nirvana’s “Come as You Are?”

below is the link to the site where i found it, there or example videos for each of the steps to learn this pattern.
