Hey Guitarpix i have played on this guitar in the shop, i couldnt fault it apart from the over use of lacquer , it was a bit too shiny for me and i find these types of finish make the neck feel stickier , but it sounded good.

Topic: Those Records we played (6 replies, posted in Songwriting)
This is a song i wrote for my love .
intro
Am C G A7
Verse 1:
am C
Her skins the colour of dairy milk
G A7 slide to 5th fret
And hair that shines like spiders silk
am C
I love her smile when she knows shes right
G A7 Slide to 5th fret
My love for her is burning out of sight
Verse 2( Same chords as verse 1)
Shes feeling down with all that shes been through
She says its not the things i do
so i hold her close all through the night
My love for her feels so right
Chorus
C G F
My darling Jade i wish that you stayed
C Am D7 D
We could listen to those records we played
C F G F
Time moves on but our love doesnt fade
C G F F
i just close my eyes to hear those records played
Verse 3
i hold her hand and make her understand
That im the one ill be her superman
The future is something i can see
Living our lives in peace and harmony
Verse 4
ill take you down to the riverside
Away from the stares of city lights
We can embrace and hold our bodies tight
And feel the fireworks fizzing in the night
Chorus
My one my only true love Jade
May we never part and our love never fade
I wish that you could have stayed
And listen to all those records we made.

great lyrics it flows well, Thats why the world is in such a bad way , too many people are in the belief that money will make life better, and those who have lots of the stuff want more. it only enriches the materialistic aspect of life not the inner soul.

Re: PROFANITY: DIFFERENCE USA versus EUROPE? (42 replies, posted in Chordie's Chat Corner)
i hear you ken and obviously common sense would prevail as to where and when these words are used, at the end of the day they are only common sounds that are known and used globally.
regards to bonedaddy`s comment -
How would you feel if you saw your ma/gran talking to someone in the street and as you approached you heard something like
"Hi Edna, how the ~#%* are you? Haven't seen you in ~#%*ing ages! You need to get your skinny wrinkled A## self to ~#%*ing Church more often, 8!tcH!"
if thats the way they choose to speak its up to them, who am i to chastise them for it, its only sounds. some sections of society use swearing in every sentence that they speak , but it doesnt mean they are any less of a person for it.

Re: PROFANITY: DIFFERENCE USA versus EUROPE? (42 replies, posted in Chordie's Chat Corner)
isnt swearing good , who says its bad , why feel ashamed when you conciously use those words to describe how you feel inside, thats whats wrong with us humans we have developed a sense of morality which stops us being our innermost self, that cant be good , hence we swear which is like our inner selves sticking two fingers up at the morals which confine us!!

thats a beautiful piece of music there, it would take me two lifetimes to learn to play that bad boy, how many strings does it have, the bass strings look as though they are outside the fret board.

Re: hang drums (9 replies, posted in Chordie's Chat Corner)
ive copied this from the panart site for your perusal
Created in 2000, the Hang (pronounced "hung") is one of the younger musical instruments. It comes from Bern, Switzerland, and was created by Felix Rohner and Sabina Schärer OF THE PANArt Company. It was the result of many years of research on the steel pan and many other resonating percussion instruments from around the world: Gong, Gamelan, Ghatam, drums, cowbells, MUSICAL Saw...
There are many Hang models with various MODES proposed by PANArt. However, since each Hang is tuned individually, you are encouraged - if so inspired - to design your own "tone circle". Thus you participate in the creation of an instrument that best meets your own creative needs. The PANArt firm through its various regional representatives can help you in this project.
In the Bernese language, Hang refers to the human hand, as in "hand-drum." This percussion instrument is comprised of two metal hemispheres bonded together: the DING side and the GU side.
The DING side CONTAINS 8 tone fields which together form the "tone circle" (scale or mode). This circle surrounds a central dome, called the DING (which sounds like a Gong).
On the GU side, there is a hand size hole (called the GU) for sound resonance. The GU can be played like an udu, or used to modulate the sound of the DING.
DING Side
GU Side
There are many ways to invite the Hang to sound: with fingertips, thumbs, and the heel of the palm - and a mix of all three. Most of the time, the Hang sits on the player's knees, but you also could play it on a drum stand. Players can let their hands and their feelings discover how to play. Indeed, there are no rules for playing except one: the joy of music!
The Hang makes friends quickly. In my experience, people remember it as a fantastic instrument with a fabulous tone from the first time they encounter it, and musicians are intrigued by it as soon as they touch it. The Hang is on its way to centre stage.

Re: hang drums (9 replies, posted in Chordie's Chat Corner)
james they are extremely hard to get hold of, they are not mass produced its two guys in switzerland who hand make them and you have to request one by post , when they select you to get one you travel to Bern switzerland to collect it and have it tuned to your liking, its an intimate affair .God knows how long the waiting list is. There is an American drum manufacturer who are in the process of developing a cheaper version, dont know when they will be available. But i want one they look like soo much fun!!!
