Hey folks..sorry about popping off earlier, but these type of posts just irk me.

I'm on this site at least once a day ,usually more, and it's these "floater" post I'm talking about. These people who stumble across the web site, see some random post and feel the need to enlighten everyone. So they bestow their knowledge on us like some Red Cross food drop.

We all could learn music theory, scales, etc..without even toching a guitar. They do it in Elementary music classes all the time. What I and 1000's of others have a problem with is the actual physical action of finger placement and movement. So ANY excercise that helps me, I'll try.

again, to the regulars...sorry and to all the Eddie Vanhalens out there...thanks

hey mick...i've been playing about a year or so and have the same prob. basically.

But recently a freind showed me the following chord runs that have helped tremendously:

C-Am-F-G and also.- G-Em-C-D

Try different tempos and strumming patterns

Hey there Mr. Admin. Does the purchase of a shirt or mug directly help Chordie? We're going to purchase a couple things and I hope it benefits the web site. Thanks

Hello everyone. Just got a mandolin to play with. Now... how is it tuned? Can I use a guitar tuner? Any help would be appreciated, Thyanks

hello there. Take a look at the Ibanez line. I bought the tcy-10 last year for about 200.00 {u.s.). The electronics aren't great, but you get good access to the end of the fretboard, 19,20 frets. good luck

Hello, slight problem in my songbook. This is what I got when I tried to publish my songbook-

mySql reports: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 's boooque' and owner='dada'' at line 1

This query was executed:

select * from songbookadmin where songbookname='AdAD's boooque' and owner='dada'

Thanks,

Absolutley I agree. I've only been playing about a year, self-taught, so you can imagine how horrible it sounds . Anyway, on a recent trip to shop for an amp, I went to the "Center for Guitars" . OMG, it was frightning. A ten year old sitting there just shredding a Strat, teens all over place, a small three piece combo jamming in the corner. No f"ing way was I going to pick up a guitar. So I left without auditioning one amp. Maybe I'll try again later, in a few years.
