Thanks Phill. Yes, that was my intent, to write a traditional folk song, a kind of bluegrass folk song which I have been reading up on since I'm living in the heart of bluegrass now....I haven't tried those apples but I will keep a look out for them.

Hey Jim - Thanks - Like many bluegrass tunes, it is an up-tempo song, so I was trying to fit in all the words while I still had the breath. This one took a while to record. I supposed I could have slowed it down, but I was going for a recording to show how the song is played and fits the music. You play and sing quite well by the way but thank you for the compliment.

Thanks Jim - I can attest to not being lit when I wrote this... LOL. That was a fun group sing-along for sure...My dad used to sing Stay All Night on road trips from NC to Texas and back way back in the day, among quite a few others. It was a long trip with a few gaps in radio coverage. I heard Willie Nelson and his band perform it live in Hattiesburg, MS, (1979 or 1980 if I remember correctly) on a little break from training at Keesler AFB with a few friends, including George, Jack, and Ezra.

Thanks Pete. I don't think I'll be performing it to a group of people, but I do plan on recording it sometime. I tried to write it as a more traditional bluegrass song. I just wish I could play all the instruments needed to make it sound right.

I wrote this song this morning. Thoughts of the local Apple Festival and some folk songs that I've been having fun with. The Apple Festival is going on now in Hendersonville, NC if you want to stop by as well. I hear there will be crowds and apples of course.

I recently have been going through the whole retirement process: ending work, relocating, moving, changing all the stuff I need to change, and finally, getting settled in. I guess this is about that whole process I'm still trying to figure out.

Nothing to worry about

All is well

Repeat intro C / C / F / F X2 plus G at the end

[Em]I’m just over here

Seeing where we go

Life-like forecast

Not a lot of snow

I'll keep on grinning

Though not a lot of humor

Hey Roy,

If you select the view option it will show you the formats for the songs. I prefer chordpro (because that's how I write), but there are others, and since Chordie doesn't host songs not all song formats are available for every song. Good luck!

No problem - On the name. For me, it's less about the name and more about the team. They were my father's team and now my son's team to support as well.
