What kind of guitar is it?  Is the battery mounted internally or is it located with the electronics in the side of the guitar?  What brand are the electronics?

Most of my playing is done sitting cross legged (indian style) on the floor/ground..... I use a roll around chair with a low back or an ottoman when I'm playing in front of the pc.

The only notes I hear at the end of each line are played over the rhythm guitar.... It'd be hard to work that in just right and keep the rhythm sounding good with just one guitar... (imo)  If you just want it to sound more interesting, try adding in the quick switch/shuffle strum on G7 and C7 when playing the G and C chords like he does... He does a lot of small changes in the song like substituting C/E occasionally instead of just C, etc...

This is more or less personal preference.... Some people like them on the end of the heel (back of the guitar through the heel cap), some like them about half way between the top and back on the right side of the heel, and some like them a little closer to the front/fretboard on the right....
Here's a quick pic of one of mine

as you can see i like mine on the right and closer to the top. It seems to hold and lay better for me...

Remember to pre-drill the hole and lube the screw threads with a little candle wax before you screw her down to prevent any splitting.  Check the screw that comes with the strap button as they sometimes send them too long. I often pick up one a 1/4 inch shorter to be sure It doesn't go deep enough to hit the truss rod...

I had the same thought as Roger....  However if it is an allen head that's been stripped out, I have taken a cutting wheel on my dremel and put a slot across the bolt head and used a flathead screwdriver for future adjustments..... This can't really be done if the adjustment is at the headstock but if it's inside the soundhole, it could be an option for you.   Pics would really help us to help you smile If you can't post them, feel free to email them to me and I'll post to the forum for you...

There shouldn't be wires attached to the saddle itself.... There may be a USP (under saddle pickup ) that has become stuck to the bottom of the saddle but a real light tug/pry should separate them and allow removal and adjustment of the saddle....

I'm not much of a theory buff so I may be (probably am smile) wrong but I'll hit my buzzer with F#m for A  and Bm for D

After the Beatles made it big in 1964, guitars were golden, and like all big companies, Decca Records wanted in on the gold rush. In 1965, CBS bought Fender, and a corporate feeding frenzy followed. Some companies bought American guitar makers, while others started selling Japanese imports. Somewhere around 1965, Decca started a division known as Decca Home Entertainment Products, which for several years imported Japanese acoustic and solid-body electric guitars aimed primarily at the beginner market.

I'll try and find more specific info on your model and post it....

What do you mean by "movable" chord? How is it A and E?
I know this is basic music theory but I just do not get it.

Sorry, slight slip there (it happens when I'm in a hurry smile   It would be E and G...

D is movable because the same shape can used up the neck to voice other chords...   D is on second fret, if you move it up 2 frets to 4th you're moving the chords voice up two semitones as well so it become an E.... one more to 5th and it's an F, 6th would be F# and 7th would be a G...  Trying to keep it simple smile

During the intro where he is telling the story what chord is he playing? It looks like a D being played on the 4th and 8th frets with a capo on the 2nd fret. Is that right?

D fingering on 4th and 7th. Basically just E and A.... (D is a movable chord)

Great job Roger! Looks like the repair went really well! Judging from the reflection, it looks like you wouldn't even be able to feel it... Smooth smile

I scan the top 100 almost daily myself smile

Very nice guitar Wayne!! The historic editions offered slightly more vintage looking appointments... The largest change ,I believe, was in the tuners. The standard came with grover tuners and the historic was upgraded to the vintage style Gotohs.. As far as I know the actual construction materials and method was the same.    Congrats again on a beautiful guitar smile Looking forward to the first recording!

It happens with age and the best advice I can offer is to learn to love it. Some of the yellowing will be from the materials exposure to sunlight and some from the finish yellowing for the same reason. There's no economically viable way of fixing it...   I mean you could sand through the clear, remove the top layer of material, and then refinish but I'm sure you'll agree that it's too much trouble just for some yellowing. I actually like the look of some age on a guitar myself smile

I've discussed using UV inhibitors in the finish to prevent yellowing of the top and bindings with other luthiers and it's not a popular idea. Most people just seem to like the age to show on a guitar...  When I get a new guitar, one of the first things I do is start exposing it to the sun to go ahead and get some color on the top.... I don't like a bleached top look.

When I "learn" a song I wear it out for a couple of weeks until I have it pretty well down all the way through. That really sets it in for me...  Of course they fade after time with so many new songs coming in so I have 3 inch binders of printed or bought material that I rotate through to help keep them fresh. Out of memory, I could probably only do around 40 all the way through and they tend to change quite often.  I've been telling myself to sit down and write out a list of all the songs I've played and there chords but I still haven't done it...

Summertime weekends maybe....

One thing to consider... If the mic has a 3 prong hook up it may need phantom power to work.  So you'll need a power supply. Running a 3 prong mic through 1/4 input (even with an adaptor) sometimes won't work.  Just a thought....

What kind of mic is it??

A large trash bag works great! Just put the case and guit in the bag and tie the top to keep out any moisture during the rainy spells and you should be good to go..... Also try to keep her in the shade during the hot spells.. We camp a lot and I always carry mine smile

The trash bag tip is also great for shipping!  I put them in one before I send them off cause you never know what kind of weather they will have to endure or get left out in by the shipping handlers....
