I just put it up there so I could download it onto my computer.  It is a typical 8th grade choir version of "Winter Wonderland."  I slapped a MIDI drum track and upright bass behind it just for giggles and it actually turned out OK.

At 14 years old, I expect her to be completely unimpressed.

A handy way to move big files around the internet.

Other options

And also, Google Drive.

I wouldn't put my tax returns up there, but for this kind of stuff, it's ideal.   I just put a 180MB WAV of my daughter's choral performance up on Drive because it was the only way to get it off of my phone.   big_smile

Do you have a box or dropbox account you can load the WAV into?  I'll take a look.  Reaper uses LAME when it renders to MP3, so I'm not sure how you are rendering out of that environment.

Check the master levels on the DP when you bounce the tracks, and on whatever you have in between it and your MP3 converter.   Set your master for as much signal as you can get out of it without peaking.  Then bounce the track.

A couple of general rules (meaning that they aren't always true, but for these purposes will work for you)

You will hear a lot of folks tell you that a minor chord is a "major with a flattened third" and an augmented chord is a "sharpened fifth" but I've found that to be a whole lot of information to keep track of.

So I remember it this way.

All of your chords are derived from scales.   They will generally be the first, third, and fifth notes.   Chords with a '7' in them will add in the 7th note of the scale as well.

As an example, lets look at C major.

The scale is C D E F G A B

As a chord, that's C E G - the 1st, 3rd, and 5th notes.

A minor -

Scale is  A B C D E F G

Chord is  A C E, again, the 1st, 3rd, and 5th.

Scales is where it's at.  They're pretty much the foundation of everything, including the chord structures.

Yep.  They remind me of the Seahawks last year.   Took a bit to find their feet, then lookout!

I love Cam Newton.  And if there is any team in the league right now that should scare people good, it's Carolina.

Yeah, that was pretty spectacular.   big_smile

They've got the #1 seed pretty much wrapped up.  I believe they can drop the next three games, and so long as the Saints lose one, it's a done deal.   It wouldn't surprise me to see them resting players over the next couple of weeks (which sucks for my fantasy teams) but getting Marshawn Lynch in top condition and Percy Harvin in uniform for the post season has got to be on their minds.

And in other news, it appears that Washington head coach Steve Sarkasian has been lured away to coach USC.

For the record, I will not miss him much.  Nice guy, too close to the players, but a record of just over .500 isn't getting it done.

I will assert that the only definitive way to know is to get another guitar.

Well, I got half my wish.  big_smile  Auburn pulled a miracle from their neither regions and beat Alabama in the closing seconds today.

Wooo!  The BCS. Does. NOT.  ROCK!

That's my policy, too.  Drive them until the wheels fall off, then go get another one.

Try 'em all out.  Picks are cheap enough to have a variety lying around the house.

That is interesting.  Synthetics are going to have a hard time making inroads, though, I think, especially in acoustic guitars.   It's traditional music on traditional instruments, so change is going to be slow.    There were some carbon fiber acoustics being made a while back, and they were great guitars, but I think the company went broke in the long run.

It might be worth while to push for a "colors other than dark" movement.    More sustainable hardwoods are beautiful, too.

No, they have overpowering fans.  The stadiums have little to do with it.

Kansas City has the loudest stadium on record, but no one seemed to complain about that when they were the AFC West's punching bag for a whole lot of years, and no one cries about how unfair it is because Lambeau or Soldier Fields are tough places to play.

And no one cried about the Clink until the Seahawks got really good, either.

They use the noisy stadium act too help them win games also, not too fair for a visiting team.

There is nothing preventing any team's fans from being loud.   And both the Saints and the Seahawks have sucked for a long time in those same stadiums, so it can't be that much of a big deal.  That's why we used to call them the 'Aints and the Sadhawks.

Home teams should play better football if they don't want to get beat at home.   Home team fans should be louder if they think it's that big of an advantage.

In the mean time, three more home wins and the Seahawks have the #1 seed locked up.

My Seahawks looked great this weekend.   They have full control of their destiny now, too.  All they have to do is win out at home and they are the #1 seed in the NFC, no matter what else happens.  That means a 1st round bye, and home field advantage for the duration.

There are some fantastic "electronic music" acts out there. I'd start with Beck as the old master, and lately "Chvrches" from Scotland has been getting a lot of coverage.
