Jets60, nicely performed and written, well done.  Your another one on here that song writing seems to just flow out of you.  Enjoyed it.  I could listen on Soundcloud but your other link,  studio, you tube,  didn't work, open for me, so could view it.

TIGLJK, what another great song, I don't know how you manage to keep them coming but you do.  Second entry to boot, awesome.  I like the lyrics on this, great stuff.  Will you be recording it?

Here is my short contribution for this month song as my arthritic fingers struggle to move when I play guitar nowadays. Just poorly recorded on my cellphone but hopefully it entertains.

Peatle, I was memorized watching you pick away at the guitar, I always notice guitar players and how they play, guess because I am not very good on the guitar.  You plucked away at it like an expert.  Anyway, a short song but to the point.  Great to see you entering smile  PS:  I am not the best at drinking water, drink too much tea and coffee

Thanks for sharing neophytte, good to hear the original, I hadn't heard it before.

Nicely done Brian, a good all-round performance.  As I said on SoundCloud, it gets a thumbs up from me smile

Well, here we are, looking at DECEMBER already!  So, this month being a festive time of year and holiday season, looking for SUGGESTIONS for any CHRISTMAS SONG, CAROL that you would like to enter for people to COVER or write an ORIGINAL for.

In addition to CHRISTMAS SONGS and CAROLS, looking for songs with the words SNOW… WINTER … SUN … BEACH in them.   With us all being on different sides of the globe, we all have different seasons to each other.  Northern hemisphere is WINTER and SNOW in some places, Southern hemisphere (down under) is SUMMERTIME and for many people the BEACH.

So, put your suggestions down for CHRISTMAS SONGS, CAROLS and for the words SNOW … WINTER … SUN … BEACH.

Remember ORIGINAL SONGS can be entered as well as SUGGESTIONS for COVERS.

READY!   SET!   GO!

OK, here we are in NOVEMBER already!  This month we are looking for SONGS that have ANYTHING TO DO WITH WATER.

Some suggestions were:
WATER
RIVER
LAKE
STREAM
POND
SEA
OCEAN
RAIN
DRIP
DROP
FLOOD
MIST
SPRINKLE
SHORE

Any other WORDS you can think of to do with WATER that may not be written above, feel free to add or use in your song.

Once again, ORIGINALS, COVERS, INSTRUMENTALS can be entered.
Looking forward to what you all come up with this month.

READY!   SET!   GO!

neophytte, Drivers Seat, I hadn't heard of that song before so can't compare it, but it sounded good when you performed it smile

PS: you can always add late songs to FSOTM if you want, that's why each month is never closed off, so it doesn't really matter if you add a song in late smile

Another good song Jeff, you seem to just keep them flowing.  Nice one, thumbs up from me smile

As for me, I just didn't get the time this month to put a song together, so a first for me not entering a song.  Hopefully next month I am a bit more successful time wise to put something together.

Jim, that was good and great to hear how it went.  It definitely made me smile and again your writing skills are awesome smile

neophytte, I had to listen hard to that song to hear the word `remember`, then finally towards the end lol.   Well done smile

Now that would have been interesting to hear my poem done by you in a Noel Coward style smile

A very touching song Jeff, I like it and how you have performed it. Nice guitar on this one.  Great photo too smile

Any more entries for this month? I must admit to struggling a bit with the words this month for some reason.  Hopefully I can still find a song to do for it.

Zurf you're missing in action the last couple of months with your entries to FSOTM.  I always enjoy what you enter.

Roger, you seem to have disappeared to after a good start to FSOTM, hope you can join us again.

Neo and Grah1, yes look forward to hearing them in November, not too far away now is it.  Year has gone so fast!

i know im early but the title intrigued and theres been some great poems here lately.

Anything To Do With Water
Throw it against a wall and see if it sticks
turn it on and let it flow
must be playing tricks
theres country music in the water
so sparkling and clear
theres country music in the sky
so far and yet so near
anything to do with waters got to be good
for without it we wouldnt survive
theres not a thing that would be alive
anything to do with wind blows me away
anything to do with water will wash me away

easybeat, a clever piece of writing, good visuals with this one.  And yes, you are early, you will have to re-post this in November lol

Here is a water song I like by Kiwi songwriter Brooke Fraser. it's too hard for me to cover. Check out the drummer in this video a very original and subtle style of playing. Maybe someone will cover this song Something In The Water.

That was brilliant Peatle, she is a great singer and yes loved the drummer, so cool smile
