What's a penny worth ? Go to Walmart and try to buy a $5.00 item and find out you only have  $4.99. Bet they don't give it to you for $4.99. I almost never carry change. But I do have a change jar and have bought some nice toys with what I accumulated.

Joey, I totally agree about the lyrics. A great story for a song needs great lyrics. Where would music be without the Leonard Cohen's ,the Bob Dylan's the Neil Youngs. It's all about the lyrics.

I agree with Topdown , getting the "Feel" of the song is alot to learning it. I also don't play the song the same way twice. Don't get discouraged some songs take longer to learn, it doesn't matter how long you've been playing. Stick with it . Everyday we play is a learning experience for all of us.

Russell, Way Cool. You should be proud of the great job you did. It looks smokin'. The maple fretboard really sets off the candy apple red. I love it. What's your next project ?

Papa, Congrats. Taylors are nice guitars. I have a 314ce and a T5 and I love them both.I also have a Martin D-35 and a D-41 so I try to spread the love around whenever I can. I like the neck finish on the Taylor acoustic best of all my guitars. Makes it feel faster and smoother no drag. Both have the slim line neck I like that ,less hand fatigue. Anyway great choice and keep on rockin'.

Russell, I like the color . This is going to be one hot axe.

Russell,
Man the suspense is killing me ! I can't wait to see this thing. Everyday I keep looking to see what's new or some kind of update. I feel like it's christmas and it's not even my guitar.

My first was a Harmony Stella. My first lesson with the Parks dept. summer program I learned House of the Rising Sun. I've been playing it ever since. My first electric was a red Kalmazoo,it looked identical to a Fender Mustang.

Mine would be a Martin J-40. Although the White Falcon would do nicely.

I remember Andy Griffith in one of his TV shows calling it a French Harp. Don't know why.

Russell , Rock On wisconsin boy ! My daughter and son-in-law are both on our volunteer fire department and right ,wrong or whatever that wouldn't happen on their watch. How could any Fire Dept. get away without assisting.

You never know what's around the corner until you take that first step. Go for it man, have fun with it and see how far the ride goes. Best of Luck.

Very cool group. I was surprised to find out they've been around quite along time. Thanks for bringing these guys back out for the rest of us to enjoy. Watched their youtube videos and worked out Goin' Home. Capo 3 play G with a few hammer ons of the E note or almost a C chord back to the G chord then to the C chord for the Goin' Home part then back to the G. I' think you get the idea. Pretty easy.

Mike, I know you are still considering. Here's one.

Way to go Jeff.
Continue on your journey of musical bliss. There's nothing like the high you get from knowing you can entertain people. Enjoy every minute of your new found love. Don't worry to much about the mistakes, it happens to most everyone sometime. Cover them when you can and make a joke out of it if you can't. If you make a joke of a mistake most people will see the human side of your performace and still accept you as a real person. It works for me  and I've ben playing out for years. Best of luck.

Daldav, I also have the older Jamman with two pedals that is no longer made. Loopers are great learning tools. You will improve your guitar skills using a Looper. The older Jamman in my opinion is a gamble. I 've heard of a few people who have had good luck with the older model. I have not. With very little use in a little over 1 years time mine has crapped out on me. Can't do anything with it . Like it won't respond to any thing. Can't even play directly thru it. It's over the warrenty so it's just sitting now.  I have researched this and found many others experienced   the same thing. I'd research some of the other models available before I'd buy the Jamman.

Generally speaking using heavier strings will give you better sound or tone. It's all about what you like . Though, There are some guitars that you should not go to heavy on. Everyday is a learning experience. That's what's great about music all those sweet surprises along the way.

Cowboy singer Don Edwards  did a song called The Cowboy Song. I believe Garth Brooks also did it. Don's version is really cool . I had to learn it.

Scott,   Welcome to the coolest place in cyberspace.

Amy,You've got performing in your blood now. You said it yourself " I'm really excited to go play in public again ". Sorry to say things will never be the same. That's what drives us to go back and do it again and again. The excitement and enjoyment of playing for a group of people.
I've been playing out for years and I get excited when those days arrive. I don't get nervous ,I'm more like a kid at Christmas. I can't wait to get there and get started. I love it and can't get enough of it. It's not easy to put together a whole nights worth of music and then perform it. Most people don't know how much work is involved in getting ready to do one show.
Hours and hours of practice alone. But you've already made the first step. Don't turn the money down either. Everyone can certainly use a few extra bucks in their pockets. Maybe there is some new guitar or whatever your saving for. But don't forget the people. My biggest enjoyment is the friends I've made and the places I've played. Music is a wonderful thing. You GO Girl. Again , Best of Luck.
