My goodness !

Ive just read about this tragedy here now. How very sad. Such hope and joy in his planning for the olympics. His time was now.
May his spirit rest in abiding peace.

Deepest sympathies to all concerened.

Yes ! I love the Winter Olympics.
A lot of my clan love skiing, they go to Austria, Usa, some own Gites in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc.

Heres our wee group.

Aoife Hoey and Claire Bergin or Leona Byrne will become the first Irish female bobsledders in the Winter Olympics after a relatively successful European Cup season.
Kirsty McGarry will be Ireland's representative in alpine skiing;
Pat Shannon in the Skeleton event;
Shane O' Connor, alpine skier, finished in the top 50 of the Slalom event at the World Championships, the best ever result by an Irish male in Slalom.
PJ Barron, a Scotsman who declared for Ireland through parentage a year ago will be Ireland's representative in the 15km Cross Country skiing event.
Barron was chosen ahead of Paul Griffin who had previously represented Ireland in the Summer Olympics in rowing, finishing 6th in Athens and 10th in 2008 Beijing. Griffin did achieve the standard for selection but Ireland was only granted one available spot in cross country skiing.

You know Babeye, there's complaints already about our wee group. It appears the other competitors don't understand the Irish way of training !!
You know, late night singing, a few bevvies,  a good old session of River Dance !  Sure thats what keeps us all as  fit as fiddles  here lol lol
Heres a wee taster.

REM, everybody hurts !

Bensonp that song was playing in Teneriffe 7 years ago. My friend Joanie asked me to check out a small lump she found in her breast while showering . Joanie walked 5 miles a day, had a swim 4 times a week, didnt smoke , didnt drink. But it was cancer.
I'm soooooo pleased to say "minus a breast she survived". I always associate REM with her. Its a great song and  Joanie is a great friend.

As its Valentines here this weekend, lets introduce some loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. songs lol.
Heres my first one.

Failte Zurf,

If the weathers cold and you have onions make this soup. Great in winter weather[ actually great at any time ] also good medicinal properties.

Hi Toshbosh,

For what its worth from this Old Doll. I had for years trouble with picks. I just never seemed to get it right somehow.
I now use a very light pick. but ! This guy in seconds thought me how to hold one properly. It was all so easy after years of struggle. You will learn loads from his channel. try him out.

Id suggest lighter strings could help.

I think the sound and vocals are good.

I count the beats in my head to songs. Yours i felt was  to slow. You need to up the tempo a wee bit.

Other then that its sounds fine

I remembered i had this piece while reading the "Favourite Books thread. This was written some years ago now..
I must admit to having to clean it up somewhat for chordie.

Not mentioned on a page!

If i could be a book on musty shelf be found
Small little paperback, or kit glove leather bound
I’d hate to be a Mills and Boon!  Oh, that would make me sick?
Where every man is not a man and every woman a chick.

I’d wish to lie between the sleeves waiting to be read
Complete and total mystery, gathering dust with age.
Would i be ancient art or cookery, Exotic, full of dishes?
Seldom used just perused, but every dish delicious

Maybe   a holy bible a miracle to unfold?
A harlot who went astray then came back to the fold.
Should I go under cover a thriller I could be?
Espionage or crime, infiltrating me.

A modern glamorous novel different and fresh?
Emotional, imaginative, worthy of my flesh
A splendid coffee table book, world images id span
Discoverer of flora never known to man.
.
On the other hand!

A raunchy book of love, funny with affection
I could be the hero’s sexual attraction.
Some children’s books? Colourful, babyish and silly
Innocent but credulous, to everyone who read me

Or a tacky little magazine full of this and that
Useless information, choked with idle chat.
Some Geographic picture on Time or in Hello
A sexy playboy centre fold, where every man said “WOW!

My book is not completed yet, each day I’m on a mission
Memories collated for my very first edition
It’s not sepia or dog-eared , musty like dried sage
A life about a woman, not yet mentioned on the page.
