Hi Tone,
Welcome to Chordie and I am sorry to hear you are having problems printing your songs. Jpage_roxmysox is absolutely right so if you follow her instuctions you should be OK. However if you have further problems trying to print then please ask again for help.
Take care,
Roger
Well Old Doll,
I am overjoyed to have a monument in your back garden. I am just disappointed that it was not I who emptied the bottles to make it.

I would suggest moving the relevent threads from say the first of May to here and only move the older ones if someone resurrects them. However I think it that others should have an imput into this - so what do YOU think?
Roger
Having read the lyrics I do not think that this song should have been posted on Chordie. To say it is in poor taste is a vast understatement. I know that there are songs even worse than this about but this is not the place for them. I will not be getting out my guitar to attempt to play this.
Roger
To clarify bonedaddy's brief comment. A guppy is a small tropical fish, the female of the species is very plain but the males are very colouful and exotic. Named after Robert John Lechmere Guppy who discovered them in 1866.
Which has absolutely nothing to do with songwriting as fish cannot sing. Whales can but they are mammals.
Roger
Hello TheCama,
Welcome to Chordie. I regret to inform you that Chordie does not host any songs, it is a search engine and there are legal reasons why copywritten songs cannot be posted here. There is more detailed information in the resources to help you.
The exception of course, is songs you have written yourself, these can be posted in the Songwriting section of the forum for other members to enjoy and comment upon.
Enjoy Chordie,
Roger
Hello Ashley,
Welcome to the Chordie forum and your first posted song. I am unsure whether your opening words are directed at me or if Guppies is a term of endearment (or worse)
The lyircs you have are fine, a nice sentiment, althought you will probably have to alter it a bit to get verses to the same lenghts. Sit down with your guitar and slowly strum chords whilst going through the words. Some chord changes will sound awful, but if you keep trying you will be able to find ones that sound good together. Get a sequence for two lines, repeat it and you have the chords for your first verse.
Give it a try, if you want help as Saba has already pointed out you will always find it here on the forum, either openly or by private e-mail.
Well done,
Roger
How about "Off The Cuff"?
How about "Bits and Pieces"?
How about "Chinwag"?
How about "Chordie's Chat Corner"?

Ooops, sorry Mark,
All members can edit their profile to hide their e-mail.
Roger
Hi John,
If you go the public song books and sort by edited you will quickly find James McCormick's Folkie Dolkie 1 song book and they have been 100% edited. I am sure you will find some gems in there.
Roger
Hi Mark,
You already can e-mail Rooster. Just click on E-mail under his name and hey presto you can e-mail him, although for security I do not think it shows the actual address.
Roger
Hey Tom,
That is quite exceptional especially as it is your first song.
I think it would interest a lot of Chordie members to know how you went about getting it produced. Did you take it to a local band or recording studio or what? And who is performing the song for you, your choice or the producers? I would be fascinated to know the story behind it.
Thank you,
Roger
Hi there Tribalbunny,
If you check out Meatloaf in the Artists section there are 44 of his song listed. I hope this helps.
Roger
Hi Saba,
Good to hear from you. I have just re-sent your song back so please e-mail me if you do not recieve it this time.
Roger
Hi Jeff,
That is great. There is something magical about hearing someone perform their own work. It always seems so much better than than the version I do. I bet that Michiyo is over the moon with it too.
Great work, my friend,
Thank you,
Roger
Saba has sent me her chords to her song and I returned them in Chopro format on the 28th May. As she has neither posted them or answered my e-mails I thought I would let everyone know that hopefully she will post them soon and you will not be disappointed.
This is this young lady's first song and I am very impressed and I am sure that others who follow this section of the forum will be too. She compliments others on being talented but she is very talented too.
Roger
Hi Mark,
I have just listened to your recording of this song which you kindly sent me.
In my opinion it is probably the most professional, commercially attractive song I have heard. What more can I say but well done and thank you.
Roger
Hi Bootlegger,
As far as I am concerned you HAVE to play from the heart. I do not think that anyone can perform music well without their heart, soul and emotions being fully in tune with it. Whether it be playing an instrument or singing, for a performance to come across, it has to be felt as well as heard.
Roger
Hi Phil,
Thanks for the clarifiation. As you now realise Pere is the only person able to do this.
I do know that at the moment, since the changes to Chordie, he is extremely busy. I am certain he will have seen your request and may, or may not, be able to comment at the moment.
Rest assured that it will be noted and remembered. Just as the sorting of songbook by amount of editing has just come into being after being mentioned weeks ago.
Even though on the surface the Forum seems little changed since the update, there are many things that are different behind the scenes and I would think that Pere will want to make sure that it is all running smoothly before making changes.
I hope that makes the situation a little clearer.
Thank you,
Roger
Hi Jeff,
You are a romantic and a big softy, just like me, so I really like this one.
With just three chords anyone can play it so I "Badeyed" it even before writing this.
Thank you,
Roger
Thats great,
I'll bring along some of Scotland's finest Single Malt.

Hi Wormproof101,
I agree that the 1,2,3 fingering is the easiest however it is worth noting that all fingers do not have to be immediately behind the fret, they are normally angled.
Finger 3 (on the B string) is close to the fret and finger 1 (on the D string) is furthest away from the fret.
This gives a little more room and your fingers are not quite so cramped.
Roger
Hi Phil,
I am a little unsure of what you are asking here. If you have an amusing story to relate about Electric, Acoustic, Songwriting etc. then post it in the appropriate section.
If you think there should be a new section for things unrelated to music then post a message in About Chordie or e-mail Pere at admin@chordie.com if you wish to make a private request.
If by 'funny' you mean things that should not be happening on Chordie then again a posting in the apprpriate section or an e-mail to Pere is the way to go.
If I have completely misunderstood you may I apologise in advance. Please feel free to e-mail me if I can be of assistance.
Roger
