Hi Doc,
Sorry to hear about your setback, but look at it like that's all it is...a setback. The year will pass in no time flat and you'll be brand new used and ready to play.
Mean while there are some real good suggestions above.
Kudos for reaching out.:D

Hi johncross21, The weather over here in my part of Canada has been too up and down for outside rinks to last any length of time but we have tons of indoor rinks to make up for it. Ottawa has the Rideau Canal, a stretch of about 8 kilometers that is huge for skating but they even have problems with that.
As a side note the current Olympic and as of Friday night now World Champions Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir are from my home town of London. They may practice in the states but they are all Canadian and we are very proud of them. There will be a big to-do for them when they come home along with London's Christine Nesbitt... Olympic Speed skating Gold medalist.
Good for you for teaching your daughters ice skating..Your building some great memories.

Wow
Just had a listen and I gotta say Kudos on a great collab. I remember the original recording... I liked it then but I really like it now. Two Thumbs up on the mix and inventiveness.
Thanks for bringing it back up and reworking it.
Phill was right on the mark with his epic lyrics for this piece. This reminds me of your earlier writings... "Pale Horseman" comes to mind along with many others. Great write and as per usual...Awesome Vocals.

Good on ya Nela, I'm sure you'll turn it into a great axe.

Welcome to Chordie Dave and sinkybhoy, as you can tell we're a real friendly bunch of plain ole folk that have a love for music and helping out where we can.

Nice write StranSong,
A little bit old style country with a mix of new.
"There were old men wringin' tears from simple tunes
And a warm walk home beneath a hunter's moon."
Well Done

To help me quit smoking I have been on a medication called Chempix. It is called a Beta Blocker (I think) but what it does is physically block the craving for nicotine in your brain so you don't get the cravings like you normally do. It's a bizarre feeling to want to have a cigarette and not have a craving.
Have a good support group handy and it should be a shoe in. It's expensive but worth it $60 per week (Canadian) for 12 week course but the benefits outweigh the obvious outcome.
Thanks for the educational thread Tony
Keep at it

Ahh Mingles/Firehall...That brings back a lot of good memories. Staggered out of there a bunch of times
Lots of great bands played there. They knocked down the whole block and turned it into the John Labatts Center. It's the #1 venue in the world (at least it was) for seating 10,000. Most top bands have played there so there still is lots of great music coming from that corner.
Cheers

Hi Jeff,
I'm closing in on 56...or is it 57. ??? By the time I figure it out I'll be in my sixties
Remembering all the good times keeps me young at heart.
Thanks for this
Kenny
London is a great town to live in.
What part of town where you in and where was your favorite watering hole.
Go Knights
Hi StranSongs,
I can hear a kinda funky up tempo melody in this with a definite bridge.
Good Write
Looking forwards to the recording
Kenny
Nice write Frequent Flyer
You paint a very good picture.
I've been there a few times (In my head)

Just had a listen Deadstring
Very nice indeedy.
Now you have the first ones out of the way and it should only get easier.
Kenny
I'm not one for reading but I have to say congrats buvvy You got to be pretty excited about being published. Let us know when your book is out and how to get it...I gotta start reading sometime.

Hi reefratmary
As your little bro and others have said.... Welcome to the forum. There's nothing but good folks here so jump in the conversation anytime.
I'm not a lefty but my kin are in PEI.
Kenny
Hi StranSongs
As I read this piece I had no problem visualizing the scene. It must have been a very moving experience for you and the others.
Good on you for the write.
Kenny
Nice one Daddy,
We should all have someone we feel this way about.
Well Done
Kenny
Interesting Daddy,
I get the feeling you had someone in mind when you wrote this....I hope not anyways.
Kenny
I don't watch the show until it gets near the finals. I gotta say that this years group of finalists are not impressive at all other then Christal Bowersox. The girl can sing.
She has hinted that next week she will be without her guitar I hope it turns out for her cause if I was a betting man my money would be on her.
HI Tony,
Glad to hear things are going in the right direction for you. Smoking will do it to you for sure. Why it affects some people and not others is probably why there's still a lot of smokers. I've been diagnosed with Peripheral Artery Disease which I can say 100% is due to smoking. I haven't quit yet but have knocked my smoking down at least 90% (I plan to be 100% real soon) and my symptoms have decreased by the same margins. It's tough to quit but for those that smoke and don't show any symptoms there's no time like the present to quit...before you have symptoms.
Good for you Tony
Keep at it
Kenny
Howdy Wayne,
That is a real nice cover of a cover of an original. I just listened to the original and original cover and I prefer your cover hands down.
Thanks for sharing and a real nice mix to boot.
Kenny
Hi MKM,
For someone that's only been playing a short while that is an excellent cover of a cover of a cover of an original.
Kudos for playing and posting it up.
Kenny
Hi Phill
For the last couple of months I've had the melody stuck in me wee little brain while being stuck on a topic to write. Then the "No Answers" phrase just popped in and everything seemed to fall into place. Funny how it works... sometimes.
Thank You for your kind words
Hi Selso
It's good to see you back again, even if only for awhile.
Thanks for the read. My recording has taken a big downturn as of late but hopefully it will turn around some.
Thanks Again
Hi Lena
I hope to get the chording worked out soon so I can take a crack again at recording as this one has a personal tie to it. That's probably why it took so long to find the topic..."Can't see the trees for the forest" kinda thing.
Hope all is well with you also.
Thanks for the read.
Kenny
Cheers to You Lena
Better late then never.......Happy Post Paddys Day all. The locals here where pretty tame this year but it was still HeadLine News cause it's a great day.
It certainly helped that it was 10C warmer then normal. A good reason to drink green beer me thinks.
Kenny
The right words can take what seems forever most times but when they're done and they fit it can be magical...like this piece.
"My Lost Song" Great title, I'm looking forwards to possibly...a recording?
Kenny
