Gil, something nasty has hitched a ride on your video link. Please remove it before Roger or Toney does.

Added: Seems it's the song page that is causing the problems please remove the link.

Hi CWK96, perhaps you should start a new topic introducing yourself. Welcome to the forum.

The last 5 I've been working on are....

Eagle by ABBA; My Girl by Madness; Bat Out of Hell by Meat Loaf; Thank You for the Music by ABBA and Strength by The Alarm.

Not very COOL but hey, neither am I. cool

I was wondering, is it a problem to use chordie's system to render other chopro files, like so:

If so, I'll pull the page, however its something I'd love to see as an official feature.

Now you just lost me neutral

Hey, Hannah. Rude? Nah! Self indulgent? Who cares? What you should be is proud. There is a saying in the UK that your school days are the best days off your life. Maybe that's debatable. What is certain is that you have succeeded in one of your life's major challenges. Celebrate it! I'm sure there will be a few more but enjoy this triumph for now. Getting through highschool is hard enough but you also have to do it at one of the most difficult and awkward stages in your life - physically, emotionally and socially. You got through it successfully; you're totally justified in being extremely proud of yourself.

Now what's next? Further education? Employment? .....   lol ... and when's the party?!

Russell, I'd like to say a HUGE thanks for that. I've often wondered about 6th chords. They just don't seem quite right anywhere to me. This has shed a very bright light on things for me. Cheers man.

Sadly I think it's all down to image. A few years ago one of my all time favourite bands released a single under a false name and a video with young good looking chaps in their place. Thay new nobody would want new music by The Alarm (80s band) so they waited to see what would happen. The single entered the top 20 in tyhe charts and The Alarm then revealed themselves and showed the music industry up for what it really is. Image driven. The single them dropped out the charts almost imediately. The single was called 45RPM and you can see The Alarm play it live here....

There was talk of making this story into a film!

Nice question, Lieven. I think it's much harder these days because fewer bands have the staying power of the ones you mention.  Most bands now only last a couple of years and then they're gone. U2 and Green Day are two I can think of that have hung in there. U2 have certainly changed over the years. Green Day are getting more and more vocal on the world around them, which is good. Both bands still do it for me.

LPG,

Strum patterns are one of the hardest things to get your head round. I think it's all about getting the whole rhythm of the song down. It's so long ago now that I can't remember how i got to terms with this 1st time round but the above description is the best i can come up with. Works for me!

I feel for you, selso. Do you have any workers organisations or trade unions to take this fight on for you? I know things are different in the states regarding unions. Over here this is the kind of thing you pay your dues for. Man, I hope you get well soon and get sorted.
