I'll take any autographed guitar they want to present to me but leave mine alone.
I have an old case that has one sticker from the nearest guitar shop. It could use more to improve it's looks.

That's why If I find a song I like I save it to my computer or print it fairly quickly. Before it disappears. I don't keep too many songs in my songbook.

dino48 has given great advice! Another option(remember my computer is a dinosaur but this is what I sometimes do) is to choose the song you want, transpose it to the key you want,hi- lite the entire song, copy it and take it to  Microsoft Works Word Processor and save it as a Works 4x1 (wps) document. I like to put my chord changes in between my words and not above them. I can do that this way and also if I find someone has made a mistake in chord choice I can correct that also. Then save it to computer and or print it.

I also like to do Wayfaring Stranger. I do it using Am  Dm F C and E. I just pick the Bass note and strum the rest on each chord. There are many cool ways to play this song.

Something fun (I think) for a youth group but some of the old fogies might frown at. Play the music to "House of The Rising Sun" but sing the words to "Amazing Grace". It fits and I don't see anything disrespectful about it.

I'd like to take the one doing the above post, put one of these tuners on his ear and kick them in the seat of the breeches till it regestered at least a high"E".

This is not a sermon, just what went through my mind as I finished Reading your poem.
"When we are down and feel no one sees us, we can always depend on Jesus."

Keep the poems coming and your chin up. AL(Deadstring)

The older members may remember my problems with the Epiphone "Excellente" which I bought at the pawn shop. It had several problems and bellying was one. Mr Clampett added bracing to do away with further bellying and then added a shim under the fret board to realign with the saddle. That was probably over a year ago and it plays great and stays in tune and has a little character.

There may be simpler ways but I save each song I feel I might want to keep as a Works Document. I save them to my computer in folders such as Gospel, Country,Oldies and such.I also have a flash drive I save them to which I need to update.
The flash drive allows you to stick all your songs in your pocket and bring them up on any computer you have access to anywhere.
I hope this helped.

A Yamaha FG750-s bought for me new by my wife in the mid 70s. I didn't realize how sweet it was until I started meeting real musicians and getting lots of complements from Martin and other owners about the sound and playability of it.

Is the Yamaha a kick start or electric?   roll
Have fun and I hope the weather is good to you.

I was given a trophy! All my life I was envious of those earning trophies but never had enough ability in the right areas to earn one.
The other day one of the Nursing Homes called and invited me to a lunch today for all the folks who do volunteer work there. I decided to go and at each table setting was a little plastic, gold and about 3 inch tall trophy for each volunteer to take home. The thought and meal were enjoyed by all. I will cherish it.
