I can't sing for shyt. I play and sing for fun and my own amusement. Jerome posted a long time ago that singing is 95% attitude. So I try to sing with a attitude that shows my enjoyment. I hope folks enjoy my enthusiasm and can ignore my tone.

Congrats BGD - Fatherhood will be the best and most frustrating thing you have ever been through. I've raised 3 and wouldn't give them up for anything.

The first tune that came to mind was "Isn't She Lovely" - Stevie Wonder. Although not really a guitar song, I have no doubt you can do it justice.

Jeff, it's getting close to the event and I'm really looking forward to it.  Could you pm me your new address?

Thanks,

DE

Ken - I just sent an email to you and all other chordie folks (that I had email for) with address contact info, etc.

Only 3 weeks away!

If you find songs on other sites that you would like to see on chordie, you can send a link to the admin here.

Don't expect them to be added immediately or at all, but it's worth a try smile

At home, a short skirt or naked are both preferred over wearing "pants". Of course, in public I would wear a pair of shorts. smile

Oh my gosh Jeff!  You may need to go buy a pair of pants, and some socks.

You have no idea how much I hate wearing pants when I am not working - It's miserable I'm telling ya!

OK folks - I know I have been bragging about the weather here in The Sunshine State, but we are even getting a taste of winter this week. It's nothing like my friends up north are dealing with, but we are expecting highs in the 40's tomorrow with lows tomorrow night near freezing! I haven't seen freezing temps since I've lived here - I have to search through the boxes in my attic for socks! Even worse, I have fresh tomato and pepper plants in the ground and may lose them if the temp gets below 32 for too long. Yikes!

No worries - back to the 70's this weekend smile

No you're not!  smile

I do! I wish I could share it with all my snow-bound fellow chordians. Until next month, all I can share is a picture smile (from just a few minutes ago)

Feeling guilty

Please email Per if you find the site is down: admin AT chordie.com. Sometimes the server freezes up and he simply needs to re-boot. As chordie is just a hobby for him, it is not regularly monitored. Typically, when I email him, the site is back up within 5 minutes (unless he is sleeping or out of town of course).

Only a month away. Banner is up!

We had a PA last year and it never got used. No - like Zurf and DE say, this is more of a campfire circle. There might be a few guys plugged in to provide electric lead licks and I suspect a bass player may plug in as well, but it is very much an acoustic jam.

The "Mystery Guest" has given permission to announce his name. I suspect he wants to take a more active participation in the discussion smile

Really looking forward to finally meeting you in person Roger!

Nice job Graham - I've been doing this song for years - a favorite!

Wherever the package goes next, I would like to use my Originator privileges  and call next dibs. I think it would be cool to have the package for chordiestock III.

Don't kid yourselves - popular bands have been using teleprompters for many years. Those things on the floor that look like monitors (speakers) - guess what - many times they are monitors. Bruce Springsteen, Elton John, Bon Jovi, yes even Paul McCartney (and even I know the lyrics to most of his songs!) use them. If it's good enough for them, it's good enough for me!
