play as much of the chord as you can - perhaps the top 3 strings

are you using the barre shape

I've been playing for some years

Know all the open chords and can work my way round the barre chord in varous positions. Do most chord music

Can play tab and know various scales (pentatonic and major)

Trouble is I'm in a rut (have not played the guitar for months)

What do you do to recover your inspiration.

New to this site and hope I can share a few tips

Squier (spelling ?) is an entry level guitar produced by fender.

I think that they are great guitars and good value especially for beginner

Telecasters are an earlier model than the strat, the main difference being they don't have a whammy bar and the electrics (the knobs)
