Hi Zengalileo,

If you want a song adding to the Chordie library you have to first locate it elsewhere on the internet and it must be in ChoPro (Chord Pro) format. Then you need to sent the details, including the URL, to admin@chordie.com with a request for it to be added.

Hi Jethro,

I have just sent you and e-mail through Chordie.

My friend has a White Falcon and I have played a couple of other Gretsch hollow bodied guitars but I hate them. I put them in the same class as the Gibson hollow bodies:

Too big, too heavy and an awful neck to get my small hands around.

Just not my cup of tea at all.

As far as I know there has never been a facility to download a Chordie song in any format. You can certainly print one or save a song in a Chordie Songbook but it appears to me you are attempting something that Chordie is not designed up to do.

You can always arrange a Skype get together which costs nothing big_smile.

From the list my choice would be Dylan's "The Times They Are A-Changing"

My own choice suggestion would be. "Moments In The Sun" by TIGLJK

The Silkie is one of my favourite (although little know) British bands, one of their original songs is always in my repertoire. Hopefully I will get some time to get recordings completed this month.

Quite frankly I do not see any difference from the earlier 10, except it may be a little more stable. I was a big XP fan and I have liked none none of the later operating systems since but I am quite fond of 10. However I would not have a Mac if you paid me.

The anniversary upgrade is a bit problematic. One lap top went through fine overnight but the other I had a similar problem sticking at 92%. I did as you did and uninstalled a couple of times but eventually I bit the bullet and just left it running. In the end it went through but it took in the order of 24 hours. All I can suggest is patience.

I just found Whitewater's email and dropped him a line to see if we can find out what happened to them. They may have got lost in the mail or circumstances may have prevented from from returning them.

I saw Bill's cryptic message and thought it was directed at Russ.... shows what a good detective I would make lol.

A belated Birthday wish for you Doug:

May your strings never break and always stay in tune.

I had a private message from Groovee about Jango as follows:

Hi: Is anyone else having a problem with Jango? Specifically - when I have just played along with say the Eagles, Hotel California. I then go out of that, select  another song from my songbook, try to access Jago to play that song via the Jango button, and Hotel California stays locked into itself, and I do not get the new song?
Thanks.
Groovee

As I have never used this feature I would like to know if anyone else is having similar problems or it a localised quirk for our friend Groovee.

Ouch, I feel your pains, both the physical one and the anguish at being unable to play. Heal well and quickly, my friend.

That's it "bring 'em up raight"........... must have a musical instrument from an early age and must be played to regularly so that they want to be able to do it better than gramps. big_smile

I use both Internet Explorer and Chrome and I remain logged in between sessions, but I am sure that I accepted that both would remember my passwords.

Tenement Funster wrote to me concerned about NELA's prolonged absence. I, and the other Moderators, have, for a while, been trying to discover what why he has not been around since April. Today I went and checked on his Facebook page again and saw several birthday wishes from June with no replies but amongst them was a get well message. I sent a message to that person and have just received a reply. Apparently Dennis has had a major stroke and is not very well, I have asked to be kept informed of his progress.

i am sure we would all wish him a speedy and complete recovery and hope he is soon able to join us again.

OK I am anal and I normally will not use a capo unless it is a song like 'House of the Rising Sun' or 'Wonderwall' which only sound right with certain chord shapes and there is no option other than to use one. On the occasions that I have had to use one I have used the Dunlop capo on both of my 12ers without any problems.
