As one of the moderators for this section I never had major problems with the thread. The blatant attempts to boost post counts was very annoying and I reached for the delete button often but resisted the temptation. Lessons learned all round I hope.

One of my pet hate bands. Country would be a good switch for them.

Sounds to me like your action is too high. You can get this adjusted in a good guitar shop and it shouldn't be very expensive. I'd take Ken's advice and go and try some expensive guitars. Even if it's just for the fun of it!

Now that is funny lol

I think they think they are the beatles sometimes. I do like them, but have to admit that I like them better without Liam. The man's a buffoon!

What do you mean by all your information?

Make sure at least one of you guys has a decent video camera or digi-camera so we can see and hear some of the fun. Sounds great.

Remind me never to go on a road trip with you, KajiMa. big_smile

If you check the chordie song list carefully you will see that ALL the songs come from these "good ones". Chordie lests you search them ALL!!!!!! You don't get much better than that.

I found an old one lying around the house a few weeks back. This is an old thing, a toy that my daughter got when she was about 5 or 6. So I thought I'd give it a go and recorded an old scottish folk song and then added the harmonica on after. It sounded OK. And only after about 10 minutes practice. Once you figure out where the notes are hiding inside it, it's fairly easy to scare them out.

I used to much prefer the stones but as the years have gone by I'm leaning more towards the beatles. I am, of course, far too young to remember either band at their height.

This now has something like 2000 members. I'm in there, anyone else?

What about a gate of some kind. Something nice and ornate. Get fundraising!

Well done. I left a comment.

When I got this PC it had Norton already installed. I ended up taking it off completely and switching to another because it found fault with EVERYTHING. Such a pain in the neck. It was impossible to browse the net because norton wouldn't let me view ANYTHING.

Have you checked out Dick Gaughan's website, Ken? I've not been in there for a while but he used to have a good list of songs with lyrics and chords and some midis. All good stuff.

The threat may be coming from the host site that the song is on. Chordie does not hosts the songs it just displays them.

Sounds good. Too bad I'm busy this weekend. It's our village fair.

Well done on the history lesson. No need to ask which side you'd've been on at Culloden then. lol

I find that if you tighten it too much then you put things out of tune slightly and chords start to sound a bit off. I tighten mine only enough so that I get a clean sound from all strings and usually in the middle of the frets.
