hi steelstrings welcome to the chordie family,i started by reading through the songs posted, then the ideas flowed and i wrote eleven songs in two days, now i write about three a week,my last one my mate said he called his mum dibs and her name was elizabeth,i got a bit of inside info off her mum and wrote the song, basically you just need a topic to start and keep adding to it,"love "is always a good starting point, don't try to do too much at once,go at your own pace and enjoy what you're creating.....stay cool

hi amy most of the songs i've posted have the chords i thought i was playing but when the song is formatted they come out as barr chords which i dont play, now the f i find is a f/c and i dont know what the Bb is as i can only find the shape as f/c on the 8th fret,i play it on the first,so if i was able to display the chords i play on my profile members would be able to play my songs better, just a forethought.....stay cool

hi william i first used it to play singing the blues, but the only chord sequence i can find in the chord chart is an f/c on the eighth fret but i play it on the first its 1st & 2nd string first fret then 2nd,3rd,4th on the third fret,i suppose you could hold the first string, first fret but the f/c i play makes it easier to play the two strings,a lot easier for me to switch from one chord to the other, thanks for your comments....stay cool
