Wow!! That is a super guitar, I love the finish and if it plays anything like the Fender acoustic that I used to have you will be well satisfied with it. How absolutely wonderful of Amy and Jim, but having spent two weeks with them, I know just how thoughtful and generous they are.

Roger

P.S. I have two cats and two dogs Bill.

How odd Bill, my first band was called The Boys and we played all instrumentals too, mainly Shadows stuff. big_smile

Electric
Fender Stratoaster - USA
Fender Telecaster - USA
Yamaha EG112 - Indonesia

Electro Acoustic
Melody 1200 - Italy
Yamaha APX10 - Tiawan
Tanglewood TW45 -assembled in the UK (from parts already preformed in some obscure part of the world, I think smile )
Daytona GRO 300 - China
Academy 5NE - China

Others
The two in the UK (a Vintage 12 string and a Martin Smith 6 string) I do not know but neither are expensive an will probable be China or similar.

I enjoy playing each and every one of them although favourites have to be for electric, the Yamaha EG112 as I built it from just a neck and body so the electronics are unique, and for acoustic the 1970's Melody 12 string.

Roger

The Stratocaster was the 'Hank' guitar, although from a post of yours I understand he used many others too. This was unusual as the scratch plate was metal with a turned up end to house the bridge parts and fix the strung ends.

Roger

Ooooopps!! edited to correct 'tuned' to 'turned' surprising the difference in meaning one letter can make smile

Wow!!

Thanks Jerome, the info I got was supposed to be about the Bullet but I know there is a lot of garbage posted so I am not surprised, I thought it looked in good nick for that age smile.

A quick check with Wikipedia confirms your info:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fender_Bullet

Thanks again,

Roger

I had never even heard of a Fender Bullet until I was asked to repair this one. Produced between 1965 and 1981 this one has the serial number 102621 and it was made in 1965 ('65 serial numbers run from 100000 to 110000).

Another sad loss for the music industry sad

R.I.P.

I have spoken to the site's owner and programmer and he has not come across this before and, being unable to reproduce it, is unsure of a fix but he did suggest you might try to use Unicode in Word.

Great. Pleased it went well and the pain is manageable. You must keep fit and as you have to be off your feet it looks likeplenty of guitar and keyboard exercises are the order of the day. smile

Roger

Dino I don't think the Beatles are Chordie members  lol

I would like to have a go at Grah's "CLOAK OF INVISIBILITY"

All the best and hope your's is not as painful as Dirty Ed's; but I am sure the end results will be worth any discomfort.

Roger

That was fantastic. Great playing from Steph, she played that so relaxed and natural, she is going to be brilliant!! Lovely singing from both Kate and Steph. Big hug to them both from their crazy English friend.. big_smile

I have written to the powers that be for an answer for you.

I am not sure as I never use it so I can only assume that The Untouchable One is not in Jango's library and it plays the closest it can. If anyone has a better suggestion please let me know.

Thanks Bill, Dondra and Jim. I am hoping to get the proper recording gear out this week and make a better job of it.

Jim, the cat is T.T. (Twinkle Toes) a very special little girl who crossed the Rainbow bridge 4 years ago at only 7 years of age and is still my Facebook profile picture. I felt the words were fitting for her.

Wow Jim I really like this, so much so that an hour and a half after first seeing it I have put a recording up on SoundCloud big_smile. I have done it in 3/4 time and changed he last chord of the chorus to a 'D' as it runs back into the verse better the way that I sing it, I hope you like it:

It was great Jan, there is not too much wrong with the guitar playing, it sounded fine accompanying your voice. You have really done a good job on Jim's song. Well done.

Roger

P.S. In answer to a comment in your e-mail, the UK weather does not affect me at all. I moved to Portugal 12 years ago big_smile. x

Normally the chords will be above the lyric line or, if it is not formatted, the chords will be in the lyric line in square brackets i.e. [G]Mary had a [C]little [G]lamb.

Roger

Now this is another one that I have never heard in my life before it appeared on here, again I have done a single take with just me and a Nashville tuned guitar:

OK here is my take on "You've Got To Hide Your Love Away" and, just for a change, no multi recordings, just me and my 12er. I have also used YouTube this time:
