Wouldn't that be a bit confusing since there already are a search input field there - searching only the songbook?

Yes, there is. You can test it manually by just adding <a href="http://www.chordie.com/chord.pere/" target="_blank">http://www.chordie.com/chord.pere/</a> before your url. Like this:

<a href="http://www.chordie.com/chord.pere/latierraextrana.com/tab/chordie/PerfumePowderAndLead.txt" target="_blank"> http://www.chordie.com/chord.pere/latie … com/tab/ch ordie/PerfumePowderAndLead.txt</a>

So, fix your top-tags (both title and subtitle) and the file is fine.

I try not to put too much stress on the remote servers, so I do some caching. Therefore it is hard to say when any change will appear on Chordie, but it will definitely be updated on every

Firefox has a css-edit-plugin that allows you to do this on live pages.

Save the entire page in IE. Find the stylesheet (css-file) and edit it in Notepad. Change all "black" to "blue". Save and open in locally in IE. Print...

Hi Tunedeaf,

Yes, I got your mail. Sorry about the delay in replying.

I have made a minor change to the html-code. This might solve this specific problems, but I am not sure.

Could you try with your IE-version, and see if it is fixed now? If not, please send me a new screenshot.

If this happens on other pages - I am very interested in hearing about it. I will fix it.

No, Tunedef. I did not get the screenshot. Can you resend it?

I have planned a feature where you can vote for songs to be removed. The only reason I am skeptical is that some people have the attitude "I hate all tab songs" or "I hate all chord songs".

If people could use it just for removing the "only lyrics" songs, it would be great.

You will need to do it this way.

* Open the web page

* Press ctrl-alt-PrtScr (This copies you screen to the clipboard)

* Open a image program, like Paint (Start - Programs - Accessories - Paint)

* Copy the image from the clipboard into Paint. You can usually use ctrl-v for this

* Save

* Attach to forum post

You can skip the last three steps, but just pasting it directly into an email, and send it to <a href="mailto:admin&#64;chordie.com." target="_blank">admin&#64;chordie.com.</a>

This is instructions for Windows only.

This is important for me to fix.

I am however not able to reproduce it in my version of IE either. Could you send me a screenshot of what you are seeing?

Good idea. Unfortunately it is actually very hard to do. (technical reason related to how the  database is designed.)

Ill think about a workaround...

Pleast post concrete urls where you have problems. Ads are not supposed to cover the songs.

For me, this will of course have top priority right now. Especially for the next days forum moderation/support question will be sporadic at best. Bugs/error will just have to wait. Other issues can most likely be answered by some of the senior members/moderators.

Sounds like a case where the stylesheet is not loaded. Anybody else experiencing this?

Have you tried reloading the page, and holding in the shift-key when pressing reload?

OK. Sounds like a local problem. If anyone else experiences something like this, please tell me.

What do you mean by "can't save files"?

You should be able to do that as well. However, there might be a bug here, because Ive done some changes lately. Ill look into it.

I do not know what is happening her. Please post 1 - one - url where you are having this problem. I will log into your account and see if I can reproduce this error.

I just have to add a feature for this.

It is technically very easy, but I am afraid people will use it for posting songs, and then I get in copyright trouble.

BTW: Someone posted an url to a really cool site for formatting your own chopro-songs (and printing them or copying them to Word). I could not find it. Anybody remembering this post?

The instrument selection is a setting to every songbook. Change the instrument in the dropdown boxes below the songs.

To make it possible to convert an entire songbook to another instrument it is independent from the instrument selection of the individual song.

An error I made. It is fixed now.

371

(7 replies, posted in About Chordie)

I understand why this is happening.

The bug was in converting from crd to chopro. In practice this means that the songs added to the songbook still have the error. Could you try to remove the song and adding it again? Please tell me if this fixes the problem.

I will try to find a workaround for the songs already added to the songbook.

This should now be fixed. I found a couple of variants that caused this. If you find any more double spaced tabs, please tell me. Now that the error is located, it is very easy to fix.

I know I have seen the tab space problem earlier, but I am actually unable to find any songs right now with this problem.

Can anybody help me, and provide a url for a song with this problem?

Thanks for reporting this. I do know about the "extra space"-problem in tablatures. But when nobody complains it does not get fixed...<img src="images/smiley_icons/icon_smile.gif" border=0 alt="Smile"> Ill look into it, and tell you the status here.

This is probably one of the reasons for the long songbooks. But if there are other, please tell me. The songbook layout should now be identical to the song-layout. The best way of reporting such errors, is by pointing me exactly to the song that has problems. Then your odds for getting it fixed increases tremendously... <img src="images/smiley_icons/icon_biggrin.gif" border=0 alt="Very Happy">

I think this is a temporary problem with the Internet connection. Please report if the problem continues.
