Theoretically that should work but sadly it doesn't seem to .I've tried many different platforms and the most I've ever had is about a thousand views on one vid .

It puzzles me how some vids on you tube get so many views there's an awful lot of awful performances that get a lot of views.Somebody please explain the secret  of getting more views I'd be grateful to know.

I can identify with this Phill .I really miss the big gigs ,the tours, the after gig parties etc. When I do a small venue these days I still get a buzz but I do find I get down and depressed sometimes but mostly this passes quickly and  I start looking forward to what's coming next.

No Phill your not ageist at all its just normal for this country When I lived in Greece no one cared what age you were they just accepted you as you were. We played alongside kids and people in their 80s and every one had a blast. But I know what you mean about folk moaning.I did a fund raiser for the air ambulance in the foyer of our supermarket a few years ago and got moaned at for playing rock  by a lot of the pensioners but also praised by some for having the nerve to do it.You can't please all of the people so you may as well please your self .

Love it Phill ,great lyrics work well as an acoustic song ,I'd like a little less chorus on the guitar  as I think it just detracts a little from the quality of the mix.But overall one of your best.I especially like the change of tone in your voice between the verse and chorus.Very well done.

Seems  a  better   match   to the  first  tune ,perhaps  some  minor  changes  in the  phrasing and  a  few  extra  its  ands and  I 's  will  make  it  fit  better .Very  powerful lyrics  Scott  I  think  the  finished  song  will  be  great .

Its  very  sad   when  these  posts  pop  up  Jeff  but  remember   they also   can show  us  the  good  time  we  had    with  friends  we  lost .Last  year  I  lost  my   band  mate  Brian Vial who  I  played  alongside  for  over  10  yrs  .Its  painful when the  posts  pop  up  but  also nice  to  remember  how  we  rocked  together  for  all  that   time ,
Good  song  Jeff  .

Just  picked up  an old  mandolin  which I cant  identify . No  apparent makers  marks  ,I'd  say  from the  condition its  early  20th  century  .It has  a  flat  top  and  is  shaped  rather  like  a  traditional   Celtic   mandolin  ,the  body  has  straight  sides  which are  around  1 3/4  inches  deep  but  the  strange    feature  is    the  back  is  semi  bowl shaped    with  triangular  marquetry   inlays  in black  and  natural  wood  with  a  central hole  about  3/16 " in diameter . The  front  has  an inlaid  scratch board  with  a  flower pattern  ,rose  wood  finger board  and  open   tuners  like a classical guitar  . There  also  appears  to  be  some   green /white  flower  pattern paper  stuck  inside    but  as  i  said  no  makers  marks . I've  made  an extensive  search  to  no  avail  , I  will  post  some  pics  when I  get  home  to  see  if  any  one  can help  before  I  start  any  restoration .

Its  a good song Phill and  it  mirrors  my  situation as  well ,My sons  both  bought dogs  and  I  seem  to spend  half my life  going to the  doctors  or hospital and  I  have to pay full council tax .Hey  but what the  hell  we  both  can still  sing and  play rock n roll. Keep  churning it  out buddy , love it .
